Maybell Quantum Industries, Inc. is a venture-backed quantum computing startup focused on designing and building the hardware for quantum systems. Quantum computers are going to be as important to the next 30 years as the internet was to the last 30; our team is building the hardware to make them work. Maybell Quantum is seeking an experienced Welding Technician. Our ideal team member is a hands-on individual who has experience building and fabricating highly complex hardware. They are self-motivated with strong communication skills and can work well in teams and individually.

Responsibilities:

  • Have experiences in one of the 3 following activities
  • Perform orbital welds
  • Hand-held TIG-welding of stainless steel, aluminum, copper
  • Operating CNC tube benders to bend stainless steel, aluminum, copper tubes
  • Cutting, facing, prepping and tacking of metal components.
  • Identify and escalate manufacturing quality and organizational systems improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support work instructions and production documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Optional - leak test welded components via Helium Leak Detector experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • 1+ years of weld / fab shop experience.
  • Self-starter who can thrive in ambiguity
  • Hands-on assembly and fabrication skills.
