Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Summary

The Finance Data & Analytics Partner serves as the primary analytics and technology partner for assigned Finance organizations while remaining actively responsible for the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of analytics solutions. This role combines hands-on development with business partnership and product ownership. The Finance Data & Analytics Partner is expected to develop high-value analytics products that improve decision-making and business performance by building trusted relationships with business leaders.

This position owns the complete lifecycle of analytics products from strategy and roadmap planning through implementation, adoption, and ongoing enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics Solution Design & Development

  • Develop and deliver analytics products that support decision-making and operational excellence.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy analytics solutions
  • Build dashboards, scorecards, self-service reporting, and data products
  • Develop semantic models and reusable business logic
  • Create scalable and maintainable reporting solutions
  • Help develop AI-enabled analytics experiences where appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and modernize existing reporting
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, usability, and reliability expectations
  • Support transition from traditional reporting to modern data products

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the dedicated analytics partner for assigned business domains and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance leaders and stakeholders
  • Participate in planning sessions, business reviews, and strategic discussions
  • Understand evolving business needs and priorities
  • Advise business leaders on analytics, automation, and AI opportunities
  • Facilitate requirements discussions and solution planning
  • Act as the primary point of contact for analytics initiatives

Product Ownership & Portfolio Management

  • Own the analytics portfolio for assigned business domains.
  • Maintain and prioritize product backlogs
  • Develop short and long-term roadmaps
  • Evaluate competing requests and prioritize based on business value
  • Manage product lifecycles and enhancement strategies
  • Ensure solutions continue to deliver measurable value
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years developing analytics solutions
  • Experience with dashboard and report development
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to independently deliver complex analytics products
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$108,800 - $181,300
