Position Overview The HPC Supervisor leads the day-to-day operation of the High Performance Center while helping create an exceptional experience for guests looking for expert ski and snowboard equipment and service. This position oversees the HPC shop and staff, supports inventory and point-of-sale operations, and ensures guests receive knowledgeable, personalized service throughout their experience. The Supervisor leads by example, develops staff, and helps maintain the quality and service standards that contribute to strong guest relationships and the overall success of Mt. Hood Meadows Retail. Working closely with the Retail Manager, this position is responsible for scheduling, staff training and coaching, inventory management, cycle counts, POS accuracy, loss prevention, and maintaining efficient shop operations. The High Performance Supervisor also supports RTP administration and training, assists with conflict resolution and guest recovery, and works with the Outer Limit Sales and Rental teams as needed. Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and knowledge of the ski and snowboard industry are important to successfully balancing guest service with the operational demands of a busy seasonal retail environment. This is an active, hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working with people and has a passion for snow sports and high-quality equipment. The ideal candidate is an experienced retail or service leader who is comfortable coaching a team, making decisions independently, and staying organized in a fast-paced environment. Ski or snowboard industry experience, inventory or warehouse experience, boot fitting and tuning knowledge, and familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems are all valuable in helping drive the success of the High Performance Center. This is a Full-Time, Seasonal Position Qualifications & Experience
1 year of experience in a high-volume guest service environment. Strong guest service and guest recovery skills. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Nordic skiing and snowshoeing Excellent written and verbal communicator. Strong in computer applications, including Office 365, Google Drive, etc and learning new applications Strong organizational skills and ability to advance several projects simultaneously. Strong decision-making skills. Strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. Ability to work without supervision. Availability to work weekends and holidays. Proficiency with RTP or similar POS experience with payment handling. Experience with creating How-To and/or Knowledgebase materials. OLCC Server’s License (may be obtained on the job, at employee’s own expense) 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Supervisory experience in guest service industry Experience teaching, coaching, or leading group activities Prior Nordic skiing instruction or related coaching Current PSIA Cross Country Certification Bilingual or multilingual
Compensation:
Hourly Wage: $20.99 - $25.65
