The posting

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to become a foundational member of our growing internal product and engineering team.

Development is already underway with an external development partner. You will work closely with that team to understand the product, review technical decisions and code quality, and progressively bring engineering knowledge and ownership in-house.

This is a hands-on role with significant influence over how we build and operate our product. You will develop features across backend and frontend, establish engineering standards, and help keep production reliable. Working closely with Product Management and Design, you will turn business needs into maintainable software and shape the technical foundations of a growing platform.

Responsibilities

What You Will Lead

  • Build across the stack. Design, develop, test, and deliver features spanning backend services, APIs, databases, and frontend interfaces.
  • Bring knowledge and ownership in-house. Work closely with our external development partner to understand the existing architecture, codebase, infrastructure, integrations, and deployment processes.
  • Set and uphold engineering standards. Review code and technical designs, give actionable feedback, and ensure internal and external contributions meet agreed standards for maintainability, security, performance, and testing.
  • Guide technical decisions. Assess tradeoffs, identify risks and technical debt, and make pragmatic improvements that balance delivery needs with long-term product health.
  • Partner with Product and Design. Help shape solutions, clarify requirements, estimate work, and deliver intuitive, reliable product experiences.
  • Strengthen delivery and operations. Improve automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and deployment and rollback processes.
  • Own production reliability. Diagnose and resolve incidents, including responding to critical outages outside regular working hours as part of the role’s on-call responsibilities.
  • Reduce recurring incidents. Investigate root causes and improve the product, tooling, and operational practices following production issues.
  • Make knowledge accessible. Maintain useful technical documentation and operational runbooks, reducing reliance on individual people or external teams.
  • Help build the internal engineering team. Establish effective working practices and support onboarding as the team grows.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 7-10 years of hands-on software engineering experience at a senior level, including delivering and maintaining production web applications.
  • Strong backend development skills, including API design, database design, integrations, and application security.
  • Practical frontend experience building and maintaining modern web interfaces, with the ability to independently deliver features across the stack.
  • Experience reviewing code and technical designs, identifying quality issues, and helping other engineers improve their work.
  • Sound architectural judgment and the ability to work effectively with an existing codebase while improving it incrementally.
  • Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, application monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting production systems and taking responsibility for incident resolution.
  • A disciplined approach to testing, documentation, security, and maintainability.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to technical and business colleagues.
  • A collaborative approach to working with external development partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness to provide out-of-hours support for critical production incidents under an agreed on-call arrangement.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience transferring knowledge and technical ownership from an external development partner to an internal team.
  • Experience as an early engineer on a growing product team.
  • Experience with complex B2B platforms, enterprise applications, or workflow-based products.
  • Familiarity with role-based permissions, business-system integrations, and products serving multiple countries.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, including technical discussions and documentation.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or regulated industries - is an advantage, but not required.
