Lead one of the region's premier echocardiography programs while shaping the future of cardiovascular care.

Base compensation range $600,000 - $700,000 plus incentives (as a 1.0 FTE).

MedStar Health is seeking a full-time, board-certified cardiologist with expertise in echocardiography (level III ECHO boarded) to serve as the Regional Medical Director for Echocardiography across our Baltimore region. This high-impact leadership opportunity offers the ability to influence clinical excellence, drive innovation, and collaborate with nationally recognized cardiovascular specialists across a large, integrated health system. The ideal physician will have a minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience.

Our comprehensive echocardiography program performs more than 25,000 transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs) and 1,000 transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) annually across four hospitals and seven ambulatory locations, providing exceptional breadth and complexity of clinical practice.

The team is willing to consider FULL TIME or PART TIME options to ensure the BEST fit for the selected physician and the team. We would also consider a (4) day work week with (1) remote day per week.

The Regional Medical Director will provide strategic and clinical leadership for echocardiography services at:

  • MedStar Union Memorial Hospital
  • MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital
  • MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center
  • MedStar Harbor Hospital

In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to pursue an academic faculty appointment with Georgetown University School of Medicine, supporting teaching, mentorship, and scholarly interests.
