STARTING RATE: $17.00 MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 18 years old LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: State of Nevada Gaming Permit, if at least 21 years old. JOB SUMMARY: Supervise front line hotel employees on a relief basis and/or as directed by management. Manage the daily operation of the Front Desk for all Mesquite Gaming properties on a relief basis and/or as directed by management. If at least 21 years old: Enroll guests in the company’s players rewards program and issue player cards. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 6 months previous management and/or hotel experience required. Quality control, customer relations and ability to follow procedures required. Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate English. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions required. Basic math and computer skills required. Must be able to work any shift, weekends and holidays. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversee all team members, ensuring all work is completed according to established standards.
Maintain all aspects of hotel preparatory to occupancy.
Maintain high level of communication with all areas of management and other departments.
Accurately maintain billing and other required information.
Facilitate reservations and hotel check in and check out procedures
Understand, comply with and enforce company and departmental policies and procedures, job descriptions, OSHA regulations and standards and other written and verbal instructions.
Motivate, encourage, train, coach, discipline and schedule team members as needed.
Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
If at least 21 years old: Register new guests into the company’s players rewards program and accurately enter data into the company’s players rewards system.
CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS:
Apologize for long lines when appropriate.
Use guest name at least twice during each encounter.
Offer detailed directions or maps.
Advise guests of all points of interest within the company and surrounding areas, making reservations as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Extensive time spent sitting and standing. There may be some walking; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations, etc. The work area is indoors. The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
