- zabezpečenie podkladov pre majetkovo - právne vysporiadanie pozemkov pri výstavbe zabezpečovanej mestom a v ďalších majetkovo – právnych vzťahoch, kde je účastníkom mesto, - vedenie spisovej agendy majetkovo–právneho referátu a operatívnu evidenciu nehnuteľností vo vlastníctva a v správe mesta, - vedenie evidencie nehnuteľností a ich pravidelné dopĺňanie, - zisťovanie vlastníkov stavieb postavených na pozemkoch mesta a realizácia ich majetkovo - právneho vysporiadania, - evidovanie nájomných zmlúv na užívanie pozemkov vo vlastníctve mesta, vedenie evidencie kúpnych zmlúv, ktorých predmetom sú nehnuteľnosti vo vlastníctve mesta - príprava a spracovanie podkladov súvisiacich so správou nehnuteľného a hnuteľného majetku, - zabezpečenie odborného spracovania a kompletizácie podkladov pre zmluvnú a právnu agendu, - výkon právneho a skutkového rešeršu a vyhľadávanie relevantných právnych predpisov, rozhodnutí a ďalších podkladov potrebných pre činnosť oddelenia, - výkon formálnej kontroly a kompletizácie zmlúv, dodatkov, objednávok a ďalších dokumentov, - zabezpečenie evidencie zmlúv a súvisiacej dokumentácie, - zabezpečenie zverejňovania dokumentov a plnenie súvisiacich administratívnych povinností, - vypracovanie zmlúv spojených s prevodom majetku mesta (kúpne, zmenné, nájomné zmluvy, zmluvy o zriadení vecných bremien, zmluvy o budúcich zmluvách a pod.), - komplexná príprava podkladov pre mestské zastupiteľstvo a poradné orgány mestského zastupiteľstva, - príprava návrhov uznesení pre mestské zastupiteľstvo týkajúcich sa majetku mesta.
