The posting

We're inspired by what's possible. At Meta, we're designing technologies that help people connect, find communities and grow businesses. And we are committed to designing and building these Meta technologies—Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Workplace, Meta Quest and more—to serve billions of people around the world.

Design Program Managers at Meta are connectors and problem solvers. By supporting the various aspects of the product teams, you will enable teams to focus their time on designing, building and shipping products. You will improve team communication, collaboration and remove roadblocks. You will help keep our teams on track, execute specific design initiatives intended to grow team health, subject-matter knowledge, and team impact, and you'll have an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams as you establish great ways of working together.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and drive large, organization-level product initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders, competing deadlines, multiple dependencies, and many moving parts
  • Prioritize, assess trade-offs, propose clear solutions and communicate strategically
  • Identify, define, and manage multi-team strategic initiatives that drive efficiency and impact, often contributing best practices to the discipline
  • Own and facilitate meetings to drive progress against goals and objectives, and establish clear next steps and owners, while resolving blocks that impede progress
  • Proactively assess risk, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for larger teams
  • Sought out as the operations subject-matter expert to the product team and trusted leader across the company, mentoring and sharing in-depth knowledge with team members
  • Communicate program status, proposals, and trade-offs to stakeholders to drive alignment and gather feedback
  • Proactively problem-solve and distribute information effectively
  • Define and measure the impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively, continually refining and iterating to ensure usage and adoption
  • Scale programs and initiatives when necessary and delegate effectively with clear expectations
  • Sources and manages operational budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts. Utilize a full range of organizational and demonstrated track record of experience in communicating with clients and customers in order to drive a positive impact

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience working with product teams or programs (or other equivalent fields) from roadmapping through delivery
  • Experience handling complexity and navigating ambiguity with teams on large-scale 0 to 1 projects from concept to execution
  • Experience working directly with product designers, user experience researchers, and content designers
  • Experience independently scoping work, setting priorities, and driving projects to completion with minimal direction
  • Experience leading product or business strategy in a time-sensitive environment
  • Experience managing vendors and contractors
  • Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Previous experience as a Design Program Manager, Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, or general program manager
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience and knowledge of AI tools
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
