The posting

Reality Labs is building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will employ your expertise in problem solving and prototyping to accelerate product development across our hardware organization. You will collaborate with teams within Hardware Engineering, Research and Development, and Industrial Design.

Responsibilities

  • Help on various validation of EE designs
  • Design schematic and layout for test boards
  • Write scripts for data processing or test automations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in EE fundamentals such as analog/digital circuit design, power, understanding of signals and systems, basic EM theory, and digital logic
  • Basic understanding of microcontrollers, digital circuit design and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc
  • Experience with lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, high speed probes, logic analyzers, power meters, data acquisition systems, and hot air chambers
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cameras and optical systems
  • Experience with coding/scripting in either C/C++, Python, Ruby, Batch, Java, or other embedded software design
  • Experience with programming in python for data collection and analysis
  • Experience with mixed-signal board-level design
  • Experience with Android/Linux systems
  • Experience with embedded logic controllers such as FPGAs, micro-controllers, microprocessors, and multi-core ARM based SOC’s
  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
