The posting

Meta is seeking a product-focused strategist to join its Product Policy team as a Product Policy manager. In this role, you will provide direct policy counsel to Meta Superintelligence Labs' product and engineering teams as they launch new multi-modal Gen AI products and features. You’ll achieve this by collaborating with a range of cross-functional stakeholders, including policy, product, legal, communications, design, and marketing teams.

Successful candidates will have expertise in AI technologies and tech policy, with an understanding of the AI policy and regulatory landscape, including industry trends. They will also effectively prioritize and manage competing workstreams in a dynamic environment and have a passion for developing responsible AI products that connect people.

Responsibilities

  • Provide policy guidance that protects and promotes free expression in GenAI products/features, while minimizing business risks and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory and policy environments
  • Develop and implement forward-thinking policies to govern multi-modal GenAI products and features
  • Create clear risk assessments and build scalable frameworks to operationalize a consistent set of mitigations across a broad range of products
  • Work with software engineers, designers, lawyers, product managers, and others to help product teams address policy, legal, engineering, user interface, business, and marketing considerations
  • Act as an escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in political science, policy, law, communications, computer science or related field
  • 8+ years of experience working in product policy, public policy, law, government, national security, product management or related field
  • Understanding of AI policy and technology policy, including key stakeholders, research initiatives, and relevant industry trends
  • Experience working autonomously and cross-functionally to develop policies and apply analytical thinking to solve ambiguous, complex problems
  • Experience driving alignment across multiple cross-functional teams with competing priorities to reach shared decisions on policy or product direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in crafting formal policy documentation for a wide-ranging audience
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Possess communication skills with demonstrated experience communicating with product managers, engineers, researchers, and executives
  • 10+ years of experience and a Master’s degree or PhD in political science, policy, law, computer science or related field
  • Experience advising on AI technologies and other online products and platforms in a product policy role
  • Experience managing policy escalations by assessing risk, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving timely resolution
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience articulating policies and their reasoning to various audiences effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience in adversarial simulation and red-teaming methodologies
  • Experience in developing policies for governing agentic and multi-modal (image, video, audio) generative AI products

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
