The posting

Meta Ads organization builds the systems that help businesses of every size reach the people most likely to care about what they offer. At our core, we're builders who care about shipping real value. We own the advertiser-facing side of that work, end to end: the campaign and optimization products that drive advertiser results; the business experiences where advertisers plan, create, and manage their work, from a first boosted post to a global agency's workflow; the signals, attribution, and measurement that prove what their advertising delivered; and the payments and financial systems the money moves through, along with the integrity work that keeps them trusted. AI is changing all of it - what we build for advertisers and how we build it - and ours is the org where advertiser value is won or lost.

As a Software Engineer, Product in Ads Products, you will lead complex engineering projects that help advertisers plan, create, and manage their campaigns. You will build clear, reliable product experiences and supporting services, working with product, design, data science, and engineering partners to turn advertiser needs into software that improves workflows and delivers measurable value.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver advertiser-facing features and workflows for campaign planning, creation, or management
  • Translate advertiser needs into product interfaces, supporting services, and technical designs that make complex advertising tasks easier to complete.
  • Lead complex product engineering projects across application and service boundaries, aligning partners on scope, trade-offs, and delivery.
  • Use product instrumentation, experiments, and advertiser feedback to evaluate usability, reliability, and business outcomes.
  • Build maintainable and testable software, improving quality through code review, rollout controls, and production monitoring.
  • Partner with product, design, data science, and engineering teams to identify opportunities and iterate on shipped capabilities.
  • Mentor engineers and help new team members ramp up on the product's codebases, workflows, and engineering practices through practical guidance and feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide detailed feedback and solutions
  • Demonstrated experience driving change within an organization and leading complex technical projects
  • 8+ years of programming experience in a relevant language OR 4+ years experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years relevant experience building large-scale applications or similar experience
  • Experience building advertiser-facing, business-facing, or analogous products with complex creation and management workflows
  • Experience partnering with product, design, and data science teams to translate user needs into features and evaluate product outcomes
  • Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Swift, or Kotlin, and scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, or Hack
  • Experience improving product quality through code review, testing, controlled rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into product engineering workflows and drive measurable efficiency or quality improvements
  • Experience applying responsible AI practices, including risk assessment and quality and accuracy reviews, when developing or using AI-assisted product capabilities
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development, including prompt/context engineering or agent orchestration, and evaluation of emerging technologies for product engineering use
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
