METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012 METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources and gain the financial strength to lead and grow in a challenging environment and to gain synergies targeted to generate value for our customers and suppliers alike. Today the company is operating 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad & Faisalabad.

Job Description

  • Reconcile reports from MMS/MMC with cash and credit transactions.
  • Prepare and manage cashier shift schedules.
  • Manage checkout floor operations, including cash tills and end control.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of Customer Services, Fresh Desk, and METRO Reward Cards within the department.
  • Perform daily ledger reconciliation for FSD, E-Commerce, Checkout, Advance, and Credit Customers.
  • Ensure timely opening and closing of banking operations in accordance with SOPs.
  • Ensure the return process is followed as per SOP.
  • Ensure reporting and archiving compliance in line with Head Office (HO) requirements and SOPs.
  • Handle POS settlements and reconciliation.
  • Manage customer complaints and ensure effective handling through Fresh Desk, NPS, and METRO Reward Cards.
  • Ensure all Checkout and Customer Service activities comply with SOPs and audit requirements.
  • Conduct regular spot checks of cash safes and tills.
  • Ensure succession planning for Supervisors and Cashiers.
  • Coach and train team members on existing and new concepts, technologies, and functionalities to help achieve team objectives, enhance technical skills, and promote a positive attitude and individual growth.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of METRO Fundamentals.

Qualifications

Graduation with 3 years of relevant experience.
