The posting

Get County employees up and running on secure new mobile devices — and be their first call when something goes wrong.

Mfinite Consulting is hiring an Endpoint MDM Deployment Technician for a contract assignment with Mecklenburg County IT Services (ITS) in Charlotte, NC. You'll support the County's Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) team on its Evergreen Refresh initiative, deploying new mobile devices to County employees and providing first-line support for County-issued phones and tablets.

Pay & Schedule

  • $23 – $26 per hour, based on experience
  • Full-time, about 40 hours per week
  • Hands-on deployment work in Charlotte, NC
  • Contract assignment; W-2 hourly employee of Mfinite Consulting LLC
  • Direct deposit

What You'll Do

  • Configure and set up mobile devices (including iOS) in line with the County's Evergreen Refresh program
  • Coordinate device deployments to County employees, including scheduling, logistics and user handoff
  • Receive, process and track old devices for secure e-cycling and disposal under County policy
  • Provide first-level support for break/fix issues, troubleshooting and questions on County-issued mobile devices
  • Work with the UEM team so device transitions cause as little disruption as possible
  • Keep deployment, inventory and support records accurate and up to date
  • Follow County IT security standards and best practices in all deployment and support work

What You Need

  • Hands-on experience deploying and configuring mobile devices, including iOS
  • Familiarity with a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform such as Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE (AirWatch) or similar
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a patient, customer-service approach with end users
  • Strong organization for managing device schedules, tracking and handoffs
  • Attention to detail and commitment to IT security practices
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; able to pass a background check
  • Must pass a drug test before starting

Great Fit If You Have

  • Experience on large-scale device deployment or refresh projects
  • Knowledge of county or government IT operations, policies and security standards
  • Familiarity with device lifecycle management and e-cycling processes
  • CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Intune/Endpoint certification
  • Military or veteran background — we welcome veterans and military spouses
