Position Overview
MH Hospitality is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations across our portfolio of hotel properties. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining effective accounting processes, and supporting the overall financial performance of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, preferably within the hospitality industry, and hands-on experience with M3 Accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting and financial operations across multiple hotel properties.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor expenses, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with hotel management on financial and accounting matters.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with audits, tax documentation, and financial reporting requirements.
- Perform additional accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience with M3 Accounting software is required.
- Previous experience in accounting or financial management required.
- Hospitality or hotel accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end closing procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage accounting responsibilities across multiple properties.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $55,000–$65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
