The position works in a consulting and client-service environment supporting federal, state, territorial, tribal, and local government programs. Assignments may include disaster recovery, resilience, housing, infrastructure, grants management, and other public-sector initiatives.

The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge with disciplined documentation, responsive client service, collaboration, and sound judgment. Responsibilities and level of independence may vary based on the specific client, contract, program phase, location, and assigned scope of work.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage preconstruction, mobilization, construction, inspection, punch list, turnover, warranty, and closeout activities.
  • Review scopes, plans, specifications, estimates, schedules, work plans, submittals, requests for information, and change proposals.
  • Monitor contractor progress, staffing, productivity, quality, safety compliance, and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Conduct or coordinate site observations and document conditions, progress, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
  • Review pay applications, quantity documentation, stored materials, retainage, change orders, and supporting records.
  • Maintain cost, schedule, issue, risk, submittal, RFI, change, inspection, and closeout logs.
  • Coordinate with owners, designers, engineers, inspectors, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction, and grant/compliance staff.
  • Support permitting, environmental, labor standards, procurement, and funding-source compliance.
  • Prepare construction status reports, forecasts, photographs, meeting minutes, and executive briefings.
  • Lead progress meetings and facilitate timely issue resolution.
  • Implement project QA/QC and document-control requirements.
  • Support claims avoidance, dispute documentation, final acceptance, and lessons learned.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned to meet project, client, and organizational needs.
  • Equivalent relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred;
  • At least seven years of progressive construction management, inspection, owner's representative, or contractor experience.
  • Ability to read plans and specifications and manage cost, schedule, quality, and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and produce accurate, well-organized work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to learn client and company systems.
  • CCM, PMP, PE, RA, OSHA, ICC, or comparable credential.
  • Public infrastructure, housing rehabilitation/reconstruction, federally funded construction, or disaster recovery experience.
  • Experience with e-Builder, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar systems.
  • Consulting experience supporting government clients or work performed in a regulated, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary, or surge teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
