Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

Micron’s Facilities team is responsible for providing the critical infrastructure that enables safe, reliable, and efficient semiconductor manufacturing operations. The team partners closely with manufacturing, construction, operations, maintenance, and engineering organizations to design, build, and sustain world-class utility systems while ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

As a Facilities Electrical Engineer, you will provide engineering support for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of site electrical systems, including low and medium voltage distribution systems, power quality equipment, UPS systems, and generator systems. This role is responsible for capacity planning, infrastructure design, project execution, system reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives that support semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning, and implementation of electrical infrastructure systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and operational needs.
  • Perform capacity analysis, scenario planning, and load forecasting to evaluate system impacts, support manufacturing growth, and develop infrastructure expansion plans.
  • Provide engineering leadership throughout project lifecycles, including scope development, design reviews, construction support, commissioning, startup, and as-built documentation.
  • Partner with facilities, manufacturing, operations, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, mitigate risks, eliminate single points of failure, and improve system reliability.
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools and solutions to support data analysis, engineering decision-making, documentation management, and process efficiency improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience with electrical power distribution systems, including low- and medium-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, power quality equipment, and backup generator systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform engineering analysis, capacity planning, problem-solving, and risk assessments using data-driven methodologies.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a technical environment.
  • Proficiency in using AI systems and solutions to enhance productivity, data analysis, and engineering workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting facilities infrastructure in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, cleanroom, industrial, or mission-critical environments.
  • Knowledge of electrical design standards, regulatory requirements, commissioning practices, and equipment startup processes.
  • Experience developing technical specifications, reviewing design packages, managing consultants, and supporting construction activities.
  • Demonstrated success identifying opportunities for system optimization, reliability improvements, maintenance reduction, and cost savings.
  • Experience applying Artificial Intelligence or Generative AI tools to improve engineering analysis, reporting, workflow efficiency, or operational decision-making.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
