The posting

Overview

Our team within Xbox Design shapes tools and experiences for game developers, creators, and players. We bring design and engineering together to simplify complex workflows, help people bring their ideas to life, and explore how AI can unlock new ways to create and play.

We work closely with research, product, and engineering partners, using functional prototypes to test ideas and inform product decisions. Our work spans early exploration, reusable systems, and polished production experiences.

We value solid craft, curiosity, and hands-on experimentation. We believe in building to learn, sharing what works, and approaching challenges collaboratively across disciplines. Everyone is encouraged to influence direction, take ownership, and contribute to making the people and products around them better.

Responsibilities

Build and ship high-quality experiences. Write and review front-end code that balances design excellence with accessibility, performance, security, and maintainability. Lead design quality reviews and take ownership of design ship-readiness approvals for your areas in partnership with Engineering and Product.

Bring ideas to life. Develop interactive prototypes and proofs of concept to explore interaction models, test assumptions, evaluate feasibility, and inform product direction. Apply the appropriate level of fidelity for each scenario, distinguishing between exploratory code and production-ready solutions.

Shape direction and drive delivery. Collaborate with Design, Research, Product, and Engineering to define problems, establish scope, and navigate dependencies and trade-offs. Communicate a compelling product vision, influence stakeholders, and deliver on shared commitments with autonomy and accountability.

Build reusable systems and tools. Develop and improve components, interaction patterns, tools, and documentation to strengthen consistency and streamline design-to-code workflows across teams. Connect related initiatives and build on existing foundations to drive efficiency and scalability.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship. Elevate design and engineering quality through thoughtful reviews, shared universal practices, and mentorship. Influence initiatives beyond your immediate product area while maintaining a hands-on approach to design and development.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
