As a Technology Consultant – Apps & AI, you will help enterprise customers modernize applications and design, build, and operationalize cloud-native, AI-powered, and Agentic AI solutions. You will combine deep application engineering expertise, architecture, hands-on development, and customer consulting to translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, resilient, and production-ready solutions.

You will lead complex technical workstreams and collaborate with customer engineering teams to modernize enterprise applications, integrate Generative AI capabilities, and build intelligent applications and AI agents. You will apply AI-native software engineering practices, including copilots, agents, reusable skills, orchestration, APIs, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps practices to accelerate engineering productivity and business value.

As an experience individual contributor, you will provide technical leadership across the application lifecycle, from architecture and design through development, modernization, deployment, productionization, optimization, and adoption. You will mentor technical professionals, influence engineering decisions, and develop reusable architectures, accelerators, patterns, and practices that scale impact across customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead application modernization: Architect and deliver enterprise application modernization and AI transformation solutions using cloud-native architectures, modern engineering practices, and Microsoft technologies.
  • Build AI-powered applications: Design and engineer applications incorporating Generative AI, RAG, enterprise knowledge, intelligent search, APIs, and AI services.
  • Build Agentic AI solutions: Design and implement enterprise agents, multi-agent workflows, reusable skills, tool integrations, grounding, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
  • Drive cloud-native engineering: Design scalable application architectures using APIs, microservices, containers, serverless technologies, integration services, and modern development frameworks.
  • Apply AI-native engineering: Use GitHub Copilot, agents, automation, and AI-assisted software engineering across requirements, development, testing, code review, documentation, troubleshooting, and operations.
  • Drive production readiness: Move solutions from prototype to production with security, Responsible AI, identity, observability, evaluation, reliability, performance, and cost controls.
  • Partner with customers: Lead architecture workshops, design reviews, technical discovery, and co-development alongside customer architects, developers, and engineering teams.
  • Provide technical leadership: Influence architecture and engineering decisions, solve complex technical challenges, mentor technical professionals, and establish engineering best practices.
  • Scale impact: Develop reusable reference architectures, application modernization patterns, agent skills, engineering accelerators, and technical assets that can be leveraged across customer engagements.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field AND 6+ years of relevant software engineering, application architecture, cloud development, technical consulting, or technology delivery experience, OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise applications, cloud-native solutions, application modernization, or AI-powered applications.
  • Hands-on software engineering experience using C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and/or other modern development languages and frameworks.
  • Experience with modern application architecture patterns including APIs, microservices, containers, serverless, integration, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development.
  • Experience designing or developing Generative AI or Agentic AI solutions, including RAG, tool/function calling, grounding, reusable skills, workflows, orchestration, and evaluation.
  • Experience with modern engineering practices including Git, GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, and secure software development.
  • Experience taking applications from architecture and prototype through secure, scalable production deployment and operations.
  • Strong customer-facing consulting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to independently lead complex technical workstreams.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years of relevant application engineering, architecture, cloud, AI, technical consulting, or solution delivery experience.
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Azure application and AI services, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise application modernization.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale Generative AI or Agentic AI applications, including multi-agent solutions, enterprise knowledge integration, or intelligent process automation.
  • Experience using GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development to improve software engineering productivity and quality.
  • Experience modernizing complex or business-critical applications using containers, Kubernetes, APIs, microservices, serverless, integration, and platform engineering practices.
  • Understanding of Responsible AI, application and AI security, identity, API security, observability, resilience, performance, privacy, and enterprise compliance.
  • Experience leading customer co-development and engineering engagements and influencing architecture and technology decisions.
  • Relevant technical certifications aligned to the solution area, such as Azure, AI, Developer, DevOps, Security, or Cloud Architecture certifications.
  • Delivery or engineering methodology certifications such as Agile, Scrum, DevOps, Change Management, or Project Management are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor technical professionals and develop reusable reference architectures, modernization accelerators, agent skills, and engineering patterns.
