Miles Chevrolet in Decatur, IL is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Body Shop Porter/Detailer. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized body shop environment, ensuring that all vehicles are detailed to the highest standards and ready for customer delivery. Responsibilities

  • Safely move vehicles around the body shop and dealership lot as needed.
  • Clean, wash, and detail vehicles inside and out to prepare them for customer delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop areas, including tools and equipment.
  • Assist body shop technicians by providing support such as fetching tools and parts.
  • Ensure all vehicles are free from debris, dust, and dirt before and after repair work.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues to management.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and adhere to company policies.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently within the body shop environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when cleaning and detailing vehicles.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in automotive detailing or porting is a plus, but not required.
