  • Critical running step – manual part feeding: Push parts into the grinder at a steady, controlled rate to maintain a constant through-feed. Keep parts butted end-to-end with no separation or gaps, and never push faster than the machine's set thru-feed rate.
  • Follow established procedures, verbal instructions, and information from set-up cards and layout sheets (certified process or engineered cycles) to ensure parts are manufactured per process and drawing requirements.
  • Mount, balance and dress grinding and regulating wheels; replace worn tooling and adjust machines as needed.
  • Use micrometers, microscope, OD dial gages and a variety of fixed and adjustable gages to set up equipment and inspect work. Review calibration of all measuring equipment.
  • Diagnose and correct grinding difficulties such as chatter, burn, lobing, taper, feed marks and size drift; maintain required records; detect and report unusual conditions to the assigned leader.
  • Perform changeovers efficiently and document setup parameters for repeatable setups.

  • Maintain established production levels and quality standards
  • Recognize and report any irregularities as to fits, defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship
  • Maintain necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections
  • Communicate clearly and train others.

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of hands-on centerless grinding setup experience; thru-feed grinding required.
  • Proven ability to hand-feed a continuous column of parts at a constant thru-feed rate with no separation and without over-pushing.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and correct the through-feed geometry, surface, operational and manual-feeding problems such as: out of round, taper, barrel or hourglass shape, size variation or drift, chatter marks, burn or discoloration

Preferred

  • Setup experience on Nissin centerless grinders.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
