About the Role
At MiniMed, we build technology that millions of people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes trust with their health every single day. As a Reliability Engineer II on our team, your work will be at the heart of ensuring that technology is safe, reliable, and ready for the real world.
In this hands-on and highly collaborative role, you will develop and execute test strategies and methods that put our insulin therapy systems through their paces — simulating real-world home environments to validate that our products perform flawlessly when patients need them most. From applying statistical techniques like DOE, hypothesis testing, and capability analysis to operating a broad spectrum of lab equipment including environmental chambers, signal generators, and Instrons — your technical contributions will directly influence product safety and design quality.
You will collaborate closely with Electrical Engineering, Software R&D, Systems Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering to develop robust test methods, drive root cause analysis, and contribute to risk management deliverables that protect patients. Your technical documentation — from test protocols and engineering reports to SOPs and lab notebooks — will serve as the foundation for sound engineering decisions.
If you are a curious, detail-driven engineer who thrives in a hands-on lab environment and wants their work to truly mean something — this is the role for you.
