The posting

About Lorong AI

Singapore has ambitious plans to become a global AI hub. Making that happen requires more than technology and investment — it requires bringing the right people, ideas and opportunities together.

Lorong AI is Singapore's AI community hub and a key platform supporting the country's National AI Strategy 2.0. We bring together AI researchers, founders, builders, investors, enterprises and government leaders to accelerate collaboration, innovation and real-world AI adoption.

Through a vibrant physical space, curated programmes, strategic partnerships and international engagements, Lorong AI helps strengthen the connections that make Singapore's AI ecosystem thrive.

We are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader to run Lorong AI's day-to-day operations, grow its community and partnerships, and help translate Singapore's national AI ambitions into meaningful outcomes.

What You Will Do

You will lead Lorong AI as a community, platform and operating team — setting direction, building relationships and ensuring that great ideas turn into well-executed initiatives.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that combines ecosystem development, community building, strategic partnerships and operational management. You will work closely with AI leaders across Singapore and internationally, while leading a small, agile team to deliver results.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead Lorong AI's strategy and operations. Own the day-to-day management of Lorong AI, including its physical space, community experience, programmes and team. Set priorities, establish effective processes and ensure consistently high-quality execution.
  • Build a thriving AI community. Develop initiatives that bring together researchers, founders, AI practitioners, enterprises and investors. Create an environment where members actively exchange knowledge, form collaborations and build lasting relationships.
  • Advance Singapore's national AI priorities. Translate the National AI Strategy 2.0 and Singapore's AI Missions into practical ecosystem initiatives, connecting talent, research, industry capabilities and opportunities for AI development and deployment.
  • Develop strategic partnerships locally and globally. Build relationships with leading AI companies, research institutions, startups, investors and ecosystem organisations. Identify opportunities for joint programmes, knowledge exchange and collaborations that strengthen Singapore's position as an AI hub.
  • Represent Lorong AI and Singapore's AI ecosystem. Host senior industry leaders, international delegations and visiting AI innovators. Lead discussions, facilitate connections and represent Lorong AI confidently at industry events, partner meetings and community gatherings.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team. Manage a multidisciplinary team spanning programming, partnerships, community engagement, communications and operations. Build a culture of ownership, initiative, collaboration and excellence in execution.
  • Experiment, learn and improve. Stay close to the community, identify emerging needs and opportunities, and continuously refine Lorong AI's offerings. Track outcomes and ensure that programmes create tangible value beyond attendance and activity.

Requirements

We are looking for a builder and operator — someone who combines strategic judgment with strong execution, thrives on bringing people together and takes pride in making things work.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Strong ownership and independence. A self-starter who can take a broad mandate, identify what needs to be done and drive it forward with minimal supervision. Comfortable making decisions, solving problems and navigating ambiguity.
  • Excellent operational instincts. Proven ability to manage teams, complex programmes and multiple workstreams while maintaining high standards. Equally comfortable setting direction and getting into the details when needed.
  • Presence and relationship-building skills. A confident communicator who can hold a room, facilitate engaging discussions and build trusted relationships with senior executives, researchers, founders and government stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial and creative thinking. A track record of building new initiatives, communities, partnerships or organisations. Resourceful, adaptable and willing to experiment rather than default to established ways of working.
  • Strong understanding of the AI and technology ecosystem. Familiarity with AI, startups, research commercialisation or technology industry dynamics, and genuine curiosity about emerging technologies and their impact.
  • People leadership and team development. Experience leading teams, developing talent, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Experience in startup ecosystems, accelerators, innovation hubs, technology companies, research institutions or community-led organisations would be particularly valuable. Experience working across international networks is a plus.

Benefits

Why Join Us

This is a rare opportunity to help build the connective tissue of Singapore's AI ecosystem at a pivotal moment in its development.

You will be part of a small, ambitious team working at the intersection of government, frontier technology, entrepreneurship and international collaboration. You will engage directly with some of the most exciting people and organisations shaping AI, while helping to make Singapore a place where AI talent, ideas and opportunities come together.

Most importantly, you will have the autonomy to build, the responsibility to deliver and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on Singapore's AI future.

If you enjoy building things from the ground up, bringing great people together and turning ambitious ideas into reality, we'd love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
