We are looking for a practice assistant to join White & Case’s team in a full-time, permanent position. Key tasks in this role include assisting lawyers with client-related work, along with other tasks to ensure that the daily operations run smoothly at the office. As a practice assistant, you will join a dynamic team of 45 professionals in the Helsinki office.

In this role, you will provide assistance across all practice groups. Your responsibilities include a wide range of administrative tasks, such as assisting lawyers with editing and formatting legal documentation, conducting research, providing translation support, as well as preparing and maintaining transaction data rooms. In addition, your duties include liaising with clients, various governmental authorities as well as White & Case’s global offices. As a practice assistant, you are also ready to provide support with meeting arrangements, calendar management and other back-office duties.

You will join an efficient team of four practice assistants as the fifth member of the team and share your daily work with three evening assistants, a reception assistant and a senior practice assistant. White & Case’s team works mainly on-site at their office in the heart of Helsinki, with the flexibility to work remotely once a week during most weeks.

You may be the person we are looking for if you:

🔸 have at least one year of experience in a legal assistant or an administrative assistant role within a professional services organization, ideally in a law firm, consulting firm or financial institution;

🔸 have a suitable educational background, such as a Bachelor of Business Administration degree;

🔸 are highly organized and demonstrate great attention to detail;

🔸 enjoy taking initiative and working independently while valuing teamwork and supporting your colleagues;

🔸 are skilled in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high quality in your work;

🔸 have excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication skills in Finnish and English; and

🔸 are proficient in MS Office programs (especially Word) and able to quickly learn new software and systems.
