Job Summary: The Project Engineer leads the technical execution of customer and internal projects from early feasibility through validated production at Forj Medical's Vadnais Heights injection-molding site. This role coordinates product, tooling, process, equipment, quality, and documentation activities to deliver safe, compliant, manufacturable solutions on time and within scope while serving as a key technical partner to customers and cross-functional teams. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead assigned engineering and NPI projects from requirements definition and feasibility through tooling, sampling, qualification, launch, and transfer to sustaining operations. Develop and maintain project plans, technical workstreams, timelines, milestones, risks, actions, budgets, and status updates in partnership with the program or project manager. Translate customer drawings, specifications, user needs, and quality requirements into clear product, process, tooling, equipment, and validation deliverables. Coordinate design-for-manufacturability reviews and recommend changes that improve moldability, quality, capability, cycle time, cost, and long-term process robustness. Partner with Tool Design, Process Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Metrology, and suppliers to develop and execute tooling, equipment, fixture, automation, and manufacturing plans. Plan and support mold trials, engineering builds, process development, capability studies, validation activities, and production-readiness reviews. Apply structured problem-solving and risk-management methods to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve technical issues. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation such as requirements, specifications, protocols, reports, drawings, bills of materials, routings, work instructions, change orders, and technical summaries. Ensure project work complies with Forj Medical's quality system, document-control practices, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Serve as a technical point of contact for customers; communicate project status, decisions, risks, and recommended actions clearly and professionally. Support quotations, capital requests, supplier selection, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous-improvement activities. Provide effective technical handoff, training, and post-launch support to manufacturing and sustaining teams. Perform other duties and support strategic projects as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, Biomedical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field required. Advanced degree or relevant professional certification preferred.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
