The posting

Minnovation is recruiting a Finance Manager on behalf of a Chinese manufacturing company operating in Serbia.

The successful candidate will lead the Serbian subsidiary’s finance function, support factory operations, and coordinate financial reporting with the group’s headquarters in China.

Location: Serbia — Smederevo Reporting to: Group Finance Director / General Manager of the Serbian subsidiary

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial management, accounting and internal controls in line with local regulations and group requirements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including adjustments for reporting under Chinese Accounting Standards.
  • Manage local tax planning and filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, payroll-related taxes and customs matters.
  • Oversee cash flow, budgeting, manufacturing cost accounting and financial analysis.
  • Coordinate with local auditors, tax authorities and banks, and support group audits.
  • Manage, guide and develop the local finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant finance experience, including at least three years in a finance leadership or equivalent management role within manufacturing.
  • Experience working in an international manufacturing environment and familiarity with reporting to a China-based headquarters. Experience with a Chinese multinational group is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese Accounting Standards and applicable Serbian accounting and tax requirements.
  • Practical experience with Serbian tax filing systems and banking procedures.
  • Strong manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting and financial analysis skills.
  • Chinese reading and writing proficiency sufficient to interpret group financial policies, prepare reporting materials and coordinate with headquarters. English or Serbian communication skills are an advantage.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively across cultures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A relevant professional qualification, such as a Chinese Intermediate Accounting qualification, CPA, ACCA or an equivalent credential.
  • Finance experience with a large manufacturing business in Serbia.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Yonyou, SAP or Oracle.
