The posting

At Mintel, trusted data is fundamental to better commercial decision-making. We’re looking for a commercially minded data leader to shape how data, reporting and insight are governed and used across our global commercial organisation.

This is not simply a dashboard delivery role. You’ll own the commercial data and reporting strategy, establish consistent KPI definitions, and lead the development and governance of our Microsoft Fabric and Power BI capabilities. Your work will create greater trust, consistency and scalability across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Customer Service, Finance and Revenue Operations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and evolve our commercial data strategy and governance framework.
  • Establish clear ownership and stewardship for critical commercial data.
  • Lead the roadmap and operating model for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Define standards for semantic models, data modelling, dashboards, datasets, workspaces and certified reporting.
  • Oversee the Bronze, Silver and Gold layers of our commercial data architecture.
  • Create trusted definitions for metrics including ARR, net new business, pipeline, forecast, customer adoption and renewals.
  • Improve commercial data quality by addressing root causes and establishing measurable remediation plans.
  • Reduce duplicated, conflicting and manually maintained reports.
  • Enable effective self-service analytics without compromising governance, security or trust.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure executive and operational reporting supports faster, more confident decisions.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring:

  • At least five years’ experience in data, reporting, analytics or business intelligence leadership.
  • Strong experience establishing practical data governance frameworks.
  • Expert-level Power BI capability, including semantic models, reporting architecture, governance and adoption.
  • Experience leading reporting or analytics initiatives in a complex organisation.
  • Strong KPI definition and metric-governance expertise.
  • Working knowledge of data modelling and SQL, with the ability to guide design decisions and challenge data quality.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The ability to combine strategic ownership with practical, hands-on delivery.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Revenue Operations, customer analytics or AI-enabled reporting would be valuable.

What success will look like

You’ll help create:

  • Greater trust in commercial reporting.
  • Clear, consistently adopted KPI definitions.
  • Fewer manual reconciliations and reporting disputes.
  • Improved ownership and resolution of data-quality issues.
  • Mature governance across Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Increased adoption of certified reporting products.
  • Faster, more confident commercial decision-making.

If you’re a data leader who can connect robust governance, scalable technology and real commercial outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now to help build a trusted, scalable commercial data ecosystem at Mintel.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
