About MITS Industries

MITS Industries is establishing an R&D and design site in Copenhagen focused on advanced RF systems, signal intelligence, aerospace technologies, and mission-critical product development.

The site will build core engineering capabilities in RF and microwave hardware, antenna systems, RF testing and characterization, rugged mechanical integration, and the industrialization of complex radio-electronic systems.

The Copenhagen team will work closely with strategic partners and engineering teams across Europe, playing a leading role in the development, validation, and industrialization of advanced technologies for defense, aerospace, and other demanding applications.

One of the initial focus areas will be the development of an advanced aerospace signal intelligence product platform. The work will cover RF and system architecture, antenna system design, signal acquisition, embedded control, laboratory validation, mechanical integration, integration with the satellite platform, and preparation for production and field deployment.

The ambition is to build a strong technical design site capable of taking complex RF products, modules, and platforms from architecture and detailed design through prototyping, testing, validation, industrialization, and deployment.

About the role

MITS Industries is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer, RF Systems to join the core Copenhagen R&D team and help build the site’s systems engineering capability for advanced RF, aerospace, and signal-intelligence products. You will translate product, mission, and stakeholder needs into clear functional, performance, and parametric requirements, system architectures, subsystem allocation, interface definitions, integration strategies, and verification plans. The work covers requirements decomposition and traceability, system performance budgeting, interface management, technical risk analysis, design reviews, integration planning, and system level verification and validation. You will work closely with RF and microwave hardware engineers, antenna systems engineers, embedded and control engineers, signal-processing engineers, RF test and characterization engineers, mechanical design engineers, project managers, and partner engineering teams. You will ensure that requirements, design decisions, implementation, integration, testing, and validation remain connected throughout the development lifecycle. The role requires strong RF system understanding, structured systems-engineering expertise, technical ownership, and a hands-on integration mindset. Working with technical leadership, you will turn product and architectural intent into an executable, traceable, and verifiable engineering baseline and help carry the product through integration, qualification, and deployment.

Key responsibilities

  • Translate product, mission, and stakeholder needs into clear functional, performance, parametric, interface, environmental, and verification requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the functional and physical system architecture, allocate requirements to subsystems, and define key technical trade-offs.
  • Establish and maintain system performance budgets and constraints covering RF performance, timing and synchronization, data flow, power, thermal performance, mass, and platform interfaces.
  • Define and maintain system requirements, subsystem requirements, interface control documentation, acceptance criteria, and verification logic.
  • Align RF subsystem requirements, including frequency coverage, sensitivity, selectivity, dynamic range, noise figure, linearity, phase noise, spurious responses, channel isolation, and interference resilience.
  • Define antenna-system requirements covering frequency coverage, antenna gain, polarization, radiation-pattern characteristics, isolation between antenna channels, placement, and platform integration.
  • Define embedded control, data acquisition, timing, synchronization, diagnostics, logging, networking, and system-monitoring requirements.
  • Coordinate mechanical and platform requirements covering dimensions, mass, thermal management, connectors, cabling, grounding, shielding, mounting, environmental constraints, and serviceability.
  • Work with RF test and characterization engineers to define measurable acceptance criteria, calibration needs, verification methods, test coverage, and required evidence.
  • Prepare and maintain system requirements specifications, interface-control documents, system budgets, integration plans, verification plans, compliance matrices, and technical decision records.
  • Lead system integration planning and support prototype bring-up, laboratory validation, qualification, and field-test preparation.
  • Identify system-level risks, interface conflicts, missing requirements, invalid assumptions, and integration blockers, and drive their resolution.
  • Facilitate cross-functional technical alignment between engineering disciplines, technical leadership, manufacturing partners, and partner engineering teams.
  • Support requirements reviews, system design reviews, integration reviews, test readiness reviews, and milestone decisions.
  • Maintain traceability between stakeholder needs, requirements, design decisions, implementation, verification results, and acceptance evidence.
  • Help establish systems-engineering methods, documentation practices, requirements-management workflows, and technical-review processes for future MITS Industries development programs.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering, telecommunications, systems engineering, aerospace engineering, applied physics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in systems engineering for complex RF, electronic, aerospace, or other mission-critical systems.
  • Strong understanding of RF systems, including receiver architectures, RF signal paths, antenna interfaces, signal acquisition, data conversion, embedded control, timing and synchronization, calibration, and system validation.
  • Proven experience translating product, mission, and stakeholder needs into functional, performance, parametric, interface, environmental, and verification requirements.
  • Experience developing functional and physical system architectures, decomposing systems into subsystems, allocating requirements, and defining interfaces and technical trade-offs.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining system performance budgets and constraints covering RF performance, timing and synchronization, data flow, power, thermal performance, mass, and platform interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of requirements decomposition, traceability, acceptance criteria, and verification methods, including analysis, inspection, demonstration, and testing.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining system requirements specifications, interface-control documents, integration plans, verification plans, compliance matrices, and technical decision records.
  • Practical experience with requirements-management and traceability tools such as IBM Engineering DOORS, Jama Connect, Polarion, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams covering RF and microwave hardware, antennas, embedded systems, signal processing, mechanical design, test, manufacturing, and system integration.
  • Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs across RF performance, embedded implementation, mechanical and thermal constraints, testability, manufacturability, reliability, and operational use.
  • Hands-on experience with prototype integration, laboratory validation, system-level debugging, and troubleshooting of complex multidisciplinary systems.
  • Experience identifying and managing system-level risks, interface conflicts, assumptions, technical dependencies, and integration blockers. Strong technical communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to align senior engineers and drive decisions across engineering disciplines.

Nice to have

  • Experience with signal-intelligence, direction-finding, spectrum-monitoring, or radio-surveillance systems.
  • Experience with SDR-based systems and high-throughput RF data acquisition.
  • Experience with broadband, multiband, coherent, or multichannel receiver systems.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering, SysML, and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining controlled system baselines, including requirements, interfaces, verification status, configuration, and engineering changes.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
