MIBL now has an opening in its Custody & Banking Services Department. Account Opening & Tax Administrator - Fixed-Term Contract (MIBLAOTA_102026)About the Role:Tax Team and Account Opening Team roles involve assisting with tax reclaims and reporting, managing tax documentation and workflows, setting up and maintaining tax accounts and investor profiles, as well as opening, amending, and closing accounts with MIBL custodians and internal systems, and interacting daily with internal and external stakeholders on account opening related matters.Responsibilities:• Tax Team:• Assist the processing of tax reclaims across jurisdictions to recover excess withholding tax• Support with varied related duties as needed for ad hoc reports or projects (Mahogany/Sequoia)• Managing tax certification workflows, including collection and validation of investor documentation• Preparing and issuing tax-related documentation required for regulatory and operational purposes• Executing or assist tax reporting activities, such as income reclassification, annual FATCA/CRS submissions, and 1042-S form preparation• Setting up tax accounts and maintaining accurate records for new entities or funds• Performing tax reconciliations to ensure accuracy between internal and external records• Conducting regular reviews and updates of tax manuals, procedures, and internal controls• Managing tax relief at source (RAS) and quick refund processes• Maintaining investor tax profiles and documentation databases• Collaborating with custodians and tax advisors on tax documentation and reclaims• Assist in implementing system enhancements for tax data automation and reporting accuracy• Training and onboarding new team members on tax processes and compliance• Maintaining risk and issue logs to track operational challenges, regulatory risks, and process deviations• Preparing incident reports related to tax errors, system failures, or compliance breaches, in coordination with relevant stakeholders• Account Opening Team:• Set up of an account with the various MIBL custodians and MIBL internal systems• Account opening, Account amendments, Account closures• Preparation of various account opening related documents• Setup and Maintenance of Standing Instructions; LEI Creation and Maintenance• Daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders on account opening related matters• Qualifications:• Prior experience (between 1 and 3 years) in a similar roleRequired Skills:• Ability to deal with custodians, customers, and service providers• Good command of spoken and written English• Team player & excellent communication skills• Result-oriented and ability to work under pressure• Good overview and understanding of financial instruments used within the banking/financial sector as well as understanding of related transactions• Good organization skills• Ability to prioritize• Dynamic and results oriented.
