About the Team

Corporate Treasury at Mizuho Americas is a high-impact, cross-enterprise function that steers the firm’s funding, liquidity, and capital across our bank and capital markets entities. We are:

• Market-connected and risk-aware: We partner closely with trading desks, Finance/Controllers, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, and Operations to translate market conditions and regulatory developments into actionable funding and liquidity plans.

• Data-driven: Our work relies on robust analytics—cash flow forecasting, stress testing, and performance metrics that inform senior decision-making.

• Collaborative: You’ll work with colleagues across Treasury disciplines and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Risk, Tax, Legal) on projects that have firm-wide visibility.

• Execution-oriented: From daily cash positioning to strategic initiatives (FTP enhancements, balance sheet optimization, tokenized collateral usage and collateral management improvement), we focus on outcomes that support growth, resiliency, and client experience.

Key Responsibilities (Depending on Rotation)

• Assist in daily liquidity monitoring, cash positioning, and short-term funding workflows.

• Support analysis of funding plans, capital allocation, and balance sheet usage across entities.

• Prepare liquidity buffer metrics, and related management reporting.

• Contribute to regulatory and management reporting.

• Build materials for committees and senior briefings; summarize trends and propose insights.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Finance/Controllers, Risk, Operations) to improve data, controls, and processes.

• Support model validation processes for new/existing financial instruments

• Create dashboards with Python or other programming tools to support Treasury

What You’ll Gain

• Exposure to multiple Treasury disciplines through structured rotations.

• Practical training in market funding, liquidity management, funds transfer pricing, and balance sheet strategy.

• Networking with senior leaders, peers, and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, data/analytics, or related fields

• Graduation date of Spring 2028

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (Bloomberg and Python are a plus)

• Curiosity about financial markets, liquidity/funding, and bank regulatory frameworks.

• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work well in teams and with deadlines

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
