At MJH Life Sciences®, our success is measured by your success! If you set your standards high and want to contribute to a winning team, we’ll provide you with every opportunity to help grow our company and your career. Our associates come from all backgrounds, sharing one key quality: determination to succeed. We value being Service Focused, having a Passion for Winning, Innovation, Respect, Integrity, and Teamwork. Nothing means more to us than hiring people with these attributes. If you believe you’re right for the job, this is the place to prove it!

MJH reaches pharmacists, managed care decision-makers, and payer audiences through brands like Pharmacy Times and The American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC). We’re hiring a Senior Product Analyst to be the data partner for that part of the business. You’ll own the analytical relationship with our pharmacy and managed care teams, turn their questions into answers they can act on, and help shape the data products we bring to pharma clients who care about access, formulary, and pharmacy audiences.

This is not a ticket queue. You’ll be the person those teams call first, and you’ll tell them what they need to know before they ask.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the dedicated analytics lead for our pharmacy and managed care brands, working directly with editorial, sales, marketing, and client services leaders.
  • Translate business questions into clear analyses. Push back when a question is fuzzy, and help stakeholders ask the right one.
  • Own the analytics for pharmacy and managed care audiences end to end: who they are, how they engage, and how that changes over time across our sites, newsletters, events, and programs.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and measurement frameworks for the domain, and retire the ones nobody uses.
  • Support client-facing work: campaign performance reporting, audience profiles, and insights that help pharma and payer-focused clients understand the pharmacy and managed care landscape.
  • Work with our Product Scientists and Engineers on data quality, audience definitions, and pipelines in Snowflake. Find and fix data problems before they reach a stakeholder.
  • Bring outside data into the picture where it matters, such as formulary and coverage data, NPI/NCPDP reference data, and prescribing data, and know its limits.
  • Write short recommendation memos, not just charts. Say what the data means and what we should do about it.
  • Follow up after you deliver. Did it change a decision? If not, find out why.
  • Use AI tools (Claude Code and an AI-integrated IDE) every day to write queries, explore data, and ship faster, and review that output with a critical eye.
  • Mentor junior analysts and help lead AI Accelerator workshops or office hours.

What Sets You Apart

  • You understand how drugs get from approval to patient: formularies, PBMs, P&T committees, prior authorization, specialty pharmacy, and the role pharmacists and payers play along the way.
  • You’re comfortable in a room with a sales lead one hour and an editor the next, and you adjust the story for each.
  • You own your work. Nobody has to chase you for status, and you close loops without being asked.
  • You’d rather send one clear recommendation than ten dashboards.
  • You already use AI to do more with less, and you like showing other people how.

Why MJH Life Sciences

  • Be the go-to data voice for a high-value slice of our business.
  • Work with a modern stack (Snowflake, AI-first tooling) and a team that expects you to shape what we build, not just build what’s asked.
  • Clear growth path within the Product Analyst family and into Product Scientist or cross-functional roles.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science) or a health-related field such as Pharmacy, Public Health, or Health Economics. Master’s or PharmD is a plus.
  • 4–6 years in data analysis or business intelligence, with at least 2 years touching pharmacy, managed care, payer, PBM, market access, or life sciences commercial data.
  • A track record of analyses that changed a business decision.

Skills

  • Advanced SQL. Snowflake experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong BI and visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
  • Python or R for analysis.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare reference and market data: NPI, NCPDP, formulary/coverage data, and claims or prescribing data (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, MMIT).
  • Clear, direct writing. You can explain a finding to a non-technical executive in a paragraph.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to run several stakeholder relationships at once.

Preferred

  • Experience at a medical publisher, healthcare agency, pharma commercial or market access team, PBM, or health plan.
  • Familiarity with digital audience analytics (Segment, Google Analytics) and campaign measurement.
  • Daily use of AI coding and analysis tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf.

Compensation Range

$100,000 – $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on role. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for this position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
