The posting

Mobius is an award winning, Small Business Administration (SBA) certified Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) company and certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) providing engineering, analytical, and programmatic expertise to the Federal Government and commercial customers. Our mission is to provide innovative advanced technology solutions to customers facing issues of national and global significance. We strive to be admired for excellent people, fair and honest partnership, innovative problem solving, and exceptional performance.

Come join our team! Mobius is seeking a Radar System Assessment Engineer. In this role, you will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Working within the System Assessment Requirements (SEG) directorate, the successful candidate will provide engineering, technical, and analytical support to assist senior engineers in the development, documentation, and implementation of system assessment requirements. This critical role helps generate credible data to fully characterize Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) technical and operational performance across multiple radar and weapon system elements, enabling the identification of critical capabilities and limitations to ensure timely delivery to the Warfighter.

Successful candidates will leverage their engineering expertise across sensors, weapon systems, and test execution environments to support MDA three-letter leadership, Combatant Commands (COCOMs), and Warfighters. This role includes serving as the SEG Test Event Lead for European Command (EUCOM) and Central Command (CENTCOM) Ground Test events, facilitating comprehensive stakeholder alignment from pre-test planning through post-event analysis.

Duties of a Radar System Assessment Engineer may include:

  • Provide engineering and analytical support to senior engineers in the development, coordination, and documentation of System Assessment Requirements (SEG) to generate credible data characterizing BMDS technical and operational performance.
  • Support assessment requirements development, test case prioritization, threat needs, and Key Test Point (KTP) structuring across key BMDS sensor and weapon systems, including AN/TPY-2, SBX, LRDR, THAAD, C2BMC, and Patriot.
  • Serve as the SEG Test Event Lead for all EUCOM and CENTCOM (E/C) Ground Test events, managing assessment planning, tracking event readiness, and driving resolution of technical issues.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with MDA three-letter organizations—including Program Director Sensors (SN), Director for Test (DT), and Director for Engineering (DE)as well as Decision Team Leads (DTLs) on technical priorities, requirements traceability, and test designs.
  • Support the generation, review, and maintenance of critical test documentation, including Assessment Plans (AP), Assessment Requirements (AR), Key Test Points (KTP), and Analysis Execution Plans (AXP).
  • Interface between SEG and System Test and Analysis Performance (SEP) to verify that analysis requirements and data collection needs are thoroughly vetted, aligned, and achievable.
  • Coordinate and communicate directly with BMDS COCOM representatives and Warfighters to facilitate clear operational understanding and execution of current and future weapon system and sensor capabilities.
  • Develop, coordinate, and present executive deliverables and briefings across the test lifecycle, including:
  • Warfighter capability readouts prior to the Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) Drill
  • In-Process Reviews (IPR) months prior to event Runs for Record (RFR)
  • Post-test event Mission Data Reviews (MDR)
  • Briefings for the System Engineering and Integration Council (SEIC) and Quarterly Executive In-Process Reviews (QEIPR)

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of relevant systems engineering, test planning, or operational assessment experience supporting DoD programs (Missile Defense Agency experience strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with BMDS elements and architectures (e.g., AN/TPY-2, SBX, LRDR, THAAD, C2BMC, Patriot).
  • Familiarity with MDA test processes, Ground Test execution, and assessment documentation (e.g., APs, ARs, KTPs, AXPs, MDRs).
  • Proven track record serving in a coordination or lead capacity (e.g., Test Event Lead, working group chair) across multi-organizational stakeholders and military warfighters.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience preparing and delivering executive briefings to senior military and civilian leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and technical documentation tools.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical STEM field.

Clearance

  • Active Secret or higher

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
