We are physician-led, hospitality-focused, and technology-enabled, committed to transforming allergy care while advancing clinical research and expanding access to cutting-edge medicine.

Known for our high standard of excellence, we provide compassionate, patient-centered care for both pediatric and adult patients. Our model combines hospitality-driven service with innovative technology solutions that streamline operations, improve clinical outcomes, and enhance the experience for both patients and providers.

At Modena, we aim to hire great people, treat them well, and help them find meaning and purpose in our mission. Our dedicated team values collaboration, positivity, and growth while striving to improve lives through expert diagnosis, treatment, and research. We are looking for high-energy, kind, and collaborative individuals eager to grow personally and professionally while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

About the Opportunity

Modena Allergy + Asthma is seeking a knowledgeable, collaborative, and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Educator to support the professional development of our growing clinical teams.

In this role, you'll help ensure that nurses, medical assistants, and other clinical team members receive the training, resources, and support they need to deliver safe, consistent, high-quality patient care.

Working closely with clinical leadership and clinic operations, you'll develop engaging educational programs, strengthen onboarding processes, assess clinical competencies, and promote continuous learning across our outpatient locations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and making a meaningful impact beyond direct patient care.

What You'll Do

Clinical Education & Training

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver clinical education programs for nursing and clinical support staff.
  • Facilitate virtual training sessions, workshops, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Create accessible training materials, educational resources, and standardized learning guides.
  • Support education related to allergy and asthma care, immunotherapy workflows, patient safety, and clinical best practices.

Onboarding & Competency Development

  • Partner with clinic leaders to establish consistent onboarding and orientation programs for new clinical employees.
  • Develop role-specific training plans and competency assessment tools.
  • Coordinate initial and ongoing clinical competency evaluations with qualified on-site clinical leaders and preceptors.
  • Identify learning gaps and provide individualized training recommendations.

Quality & Clinical Consistency

  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to support standardized workflows across clinic locations.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and training protocols.
  • Support education related to infection prevention, patient safety, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Help translate updates in clinical practice into practical, easy-to-follow educational resources.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as an approachable educational resource for nurses, medical assistants, and clinic leadership.
  • Gather feedback to continuously improve training programs and the employee learning experience.
  • Maintain training documentation, competency records, and educational program metrics.
  • Partner with leadership on training initiatives associated with clinic growth, operational changes, and new services.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • At least three years of professional nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient, ambulatory, or specialty care environment.
  • Experience training, mentoring, precepting, or educating clinical team members.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, patient safety, and professional nursing standards.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating across multiple clinic locations.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and digital training or collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
  • Previous experience as a Nurse Educator, Clinical Trainer, Nurse Supervisor, or similar position.
  • Experience developing clinical training materials, onboarding programs, or competency assessments.
  • Familiarity with allergy and asthma care, immunotherapy, or outpatient specialty services.
  • Experience supporting multi-site healthcare organizations.
  • Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or related specialty.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic, if applicable, for extended periods; occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs., bend, stoop, or reach as needed. Frequent use of hands and fingers for patient care and equipment operation. Must have normal (or corrected) vision and hearing and be able to respond quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment, if applicable.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and professional development opportunities. Full-time employees are eligible for Modena Health’s benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching. Paid time off (PTO), sick time, floating holidays, and holiday pay are also available to eligible full-time employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of a thriving allergy and asthma practice in beautiful San Diego (and across our expanding network)
  • A supportive, mission-focused culture where your contributions directly impact patient outcomes and team growth

If this role excites you, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you’re passionate about joining our team. We look forward to hearing from enthusiastic candidates ready to drive our success!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
