The posting

We Could Use Someone Like You in Our Crew.

We are recruiting Gaming Moderation Specialists to support a global gaming project.

In this role, you'll help maintain a fair and positive gaming environment by monitoring in-game activity, identifying potential concerns, and documenting observations for further review.

You'll work within a dynamic gaming environment where attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to follow established procedures are essential.

We're looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy gaming, are comfortable navigating online multiplayer environments, and can work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and accountability.

Project Availability and Commitment

  • Schedule: Project operations run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with scheduling based on project coverage needs.
  • Weekly Commitment: Minimum of 10 hours per week.
  • Weekend Availability: Required. Candidates should be able to support some Saturday and/or Sunday hours.
  • Project Duration: This opportunity may be temporary, with continuation dependent on project and client needs.
  • Work Arrangement: Remote, independent contractor opportunity.

Actual working hours and shift availability will depend on project requirements and scheduling needs.

What you will do

  • Monitor in-game player activity in accordance with established project guidelines.
  • Identify and document unusual or potentially concerning gameplay patterns.
  • Review observations carefully and gather relevant information to support further investigation.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and objective reports for project review.
  • Follow established procedures for documenting and escalating potential concerns.
  • Maintain consistent attention to detail during assigned monitoring shifts.
  • Adapt to changing project guidelines, game features, and operational requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with project leadership and teammates.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to project security and operational standards.

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • A genuine passion for gaming, particularly PC gaming and online multiplayer environments.
  • Familiarity with gaming mechanics, player behavior, and common gaming terminology.
  • Professional fluency in English, including strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to distinguish factual observations from assumptions.
  • Sound judgment when identifying issues and determining when escalation is appropriate.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and accountability.
  • The ability to follow detailed instructions and consistently apply project guidelines.
  • Comfort learning new systems, processes, and game environments.
  • A willingness to receive feedback and adapt to changing project needs.

Previous experience in gaming moderation, quality assurance, community moderation, or other detail-oriented monitoring roles is an advantage but is not required.

Required System Specifications

Candidates must have access to a dedicated Windows PC that meets or exceeds the following requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 (4.0 GHz or higher) or AMD Ryzen™ 3 (3.5 GHz or higher)
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM minimum
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, AMD Radeon RX 570, or equivalent
  • Storage: At least 50 GB of available SSD space
  • Internet: Reliable broadband connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds (fiber preferred)

Additional System Requirements

  • Willingness to install ModSquad's required security software and two-factor authentication (2FA) application
  • Access to a webcam or smartphone capable of taking clear photos for identity verification
  • A quiet, secure, and dedicated workspace free from distractions
  • A high-quality headset with a noise-canceling microphone
  • Dual monitors are strongly recommended to support productivity and efficient multitasking

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
