  • Want to be at the heart of Modulr’s US expansion, taking a decade of UK and European payments experience into a brand new market?
  • Do you love to build, launch and scale new propositions for customers?
  • Ready to own the roadmap, work directly with leadership and see your ideas in customers’ hands?

If so, we would love to hear from you!

Who We Are

Modulr is the payments automation platform that streamlines money movement with accuracy, control and reliability — built to scale. We process more than 200m transactions and over £180bn in payment value on an annualised basis, and we're trusted by over 6,000 businesses from fast-growing SMEs to global enterprises.

We automate how money moves into and out of a business (payroll, supplier payments, spend management and payment collection) through a single platform, connected to the accounting and payroll systems finance teams already use, and underpinned by principal memberships of Visa and Mastercard and direct access to central bank infrastructure.

As a regulated payments provider with over a decade of experience, we're the platform finance teams trust to run mission-critical operations. Modulr is backed by PayPal, FIS, General Atlantic, Blenheim Chalcot, Frog Capital and Highland Europe, with over 400 employees across London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Mumbai.

What You’ll Do

Modulr has been changing the face of payments in the UK and Europe for 10 years and is leveraging this depth of capability to fuel the next phase of its global expansion into the US. This presents an opportunity for a driven, ambitious and hands-on Senior Product Manager to help us scale Modulr’s US payments proposition. If you want to help us execute on our US strategy in a high leverage product role, keep reading.

  • Solve complex business problems end-to-end; talk to customers to understand the problem, work with engineers to ship a solution to the problem, and collaborate with operations to ensure quality service
  • Set product strategy; work directly with the leadership team to define product vision and strategy, own the roadmap to achieve that vision. Be responsible for communicating the vision to the whole business
  • Drive product delivery forwards; collaborate with engineers on API design and integration patterns, help the team deliver at pace by challenging assumptions and constantly improving ways of working, manage feature development vs tech debt vs support requests
  • Be the voice of the customer; be the point of contact for early customers to support and unblock them, understand their needs and champion them across the business
  • Sell the product; work with commercial teams to pitch the product to prospects, collaborate with marketing teams to package and sell the proposition
  • Manage partner relationships; work directly with key partners to ensure product alignment and foster strategic relationships

What you’ll need

  • Deep expertise in business analysis and /or technical product development. Experience building payments products is a key requirement, with a preference for experience with payment schemes / gateways.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, with commercial acumen to harness data-driven insights to inform prioritisation and decision-making.
  • Experience driving forward cross-functional change, pro-actively taking initiative. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising with external stakeholders.
  • A strong work ethic, entrepreneurial mindset, and willingness to roll-up sleeves, focusing on solutions and outcomes rather than problems and process.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with US payment rails (such as ACH/NACHA, FedWire, RTP, FedNow) and Bank partners is highly valued but not required

Benefits

  • Share Options – We offer a Company Share Option Plan (CSOP), giving you the opportunity to benefit from any increase in share value in the event of a sale, merger, or flotation.
  • Bonus – Our annual discretionary bonus, paid in May for the previous year, is based on both company and individual performance.
  • Flexible benefits - £1000 to spend on benefits to suit you, including private medical insurance, gym membership, dental etc.
  • Wellbeing app – confidential, on-demand access to therapy, coaching, counselling, management training or mindfulness sessions with accredited professionals, with company-funded hours and top-up options available.
  • Holidays - 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) plus your birthday off. In the UK, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day are fixed holidays. You can choose the remaining days to suit your personal schedule.
  • Learning opportunities - Our two-day onboarding program, ModStart, helps equip you for success. Learning doesn’t stop there; we’ll continue to support your development through various channels.
  • Company-Wide Events - Participate in collaborative and engaging events with colleagues across the business.
  • Bike to work / E-bike scheme

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
