The posting

About Moloco:

Moloco is an AI-native performance advertising company, bringing the power of AI advertising to the open internet. Founded in 2013 by machine learning engineers who had built AI advertising systems inside the world's largest technology companies, Moloco began from a shared mission: to build that same engine for the open internet.

Today, Moloco is one company with two businesses, built on the same compound AI system. Moloco Ads is our AI-native performance advertising platform, helping mobile app marketers acquire, retain, and re-engage high-value users across the open internet. Moloco Commerce Media is our AI-native retail media platform, enabling retailers and marketplaces to turn their platforms into thriving ad businesses. Both are powered by CARA (Compound Ad Recommendation Architecture), the AI system behind every Moloco product.

At Moloco, we bring together those who've already solved hard problems and those with the drive to. Here, we work on some of the complex problems in AI advertising, at a scale and level of sophistication very few companies can offer. Come build what's next.

The impact you’ll contribute to Moloco

As Group Product Manager, IAP Advertising Performance, you will own the product strategy and execution for the systems that help advertisers acquire high-value users and drive in-app purchase outcomes at scale.

You will lead the evolution of the CARA domains that most directly determine IAP performance: Ad Recommendations, Bidding, Signals, and Campaign Automation. These capabilities work as a compound system: signals improve recommendations, recommendations sharpen bid economics, bidding generates richer outcome data, and campaign automation helps advertisers act on those insights.

This is a high-impact role at the center of Moloco Ads’ largest business. You will partner with Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Product, and Go-to-Market teams to turn advances in models, data, and platform infrastructure into measurable improvements in advertiser outcomes.

The opportunity

Moloco’s CARA AI powering IAP advertising, our largest business, is one of the most technically demanding product areas in performance advertising. Every impression requires real-time decisions about user intent, conversion probability, creative fit, auction economics, budget pacing, and the quality of available signals. Many of the most valuable user, app, and conversion combinations are sparse or have never been observed before.

You will bring product leadership to this system-level challenge. You will define where Moloco should invest, create a durable performance roadmap, and ensure that work across bidding, recommendation, signal engineering, and campaign automation compounds into better results for advertisers.

The role combines:

  • Strategy and vision for the future of IAP advertising performance
  • Deep partnership with engineering and machine learning on technically complex systems
  • Rigorous prioritization across data, models, platform capabilities, and advertiser experiences
  • End-to-end accountability for measurable business outcomes
  • Cross-functional leadership across a broad, globally distributed organization

What you will do

  • Define the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for IAP advertising performance across Ad Recommendations, Bidding, Signals, and Campaign Automation.
  • Own the product strategy for improving IAP outcomes across Android and iOS, with a particular focus on gaming and other high-value app categories.
  • Establish a systematic performance-management program: identify the highest-impact opportunities, maintain a prioritized backlog, define success metrics, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Lead the evolution of Moloco’s bidding control tower, including bid optimization, auction strategy, budget allocation, pacing, value optimization, and performance monitoring.
  • Translate advances in machine learning, data, and platform infrastructure into product capabilities that improve advertiser scale, return on ad spend, cost per acquisition, and downstream user value.
  • Define how signals from advertiser conversion events, mobile measurement partners, publisher interactions, SDK activity, and bid requests should be collected, evaluated, enriched, and used across the system.
  • Partner with the UA SDK and signal-engineering teams to expand the quality, coverage, and timeliness of signals available to IAP models.
  • Shape recommendation systems that estimate user intent, conversion probability, and advertiser value in real time, including in sparse-signal and cold-start environments.
  • Define how campaign automation should help advertisers select objectives, configure campaigns, identify optimization opportunities, and act on performance insights.
  • Harmonize product choices across optimization objectives and measurement approaches, including event-based optimization, predicted lifetime value, SKAN, value multipliers, and related performance controls.
  • Design measurement frameworks and experimentation strategies that distinguish local model gains from durable improvements in advertiser and business outcomes.
  • Partner with Data Science, Machine Learning, and Engineering leaders to evaluate model quality, diagnose performance gaps, and make disciplined trade-offs between short-term wins and structural improvements.
  • Align Product, Engineering, Science, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams around priorities, launch plans, operating mechanisms, and customer feedback loops.
  • Communicate strategy and progress clearly to senior leadership, creating conviction around investment decisions and ensuring accountability for results.

What success looks like

In the first 90 days, you will:

  • Build a detailed understanding of IAP performance, the current bidding control tower, and the highest-impact opportunities across Android and iOS.
  • Establish strong working relationships with Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, UA SDK, and Go-to-Market partners.
  • Create a shared view of the performance backlog, key metrics, dependencies, and decision forums.
  • Identify and drive a focused set of near-term improvements while defining the longer-term product strategy.

Over time, you will:

  • Make IAP performance improvement a systematic, measurable, and continuously operating product discipline.
  • Deliver structural gains in advertiser performance through better recommendations, bidding, signal utilization, and campaign automation.
  • Create a coherent product experience in which advertisers can express their business objectives and Moloco can optimize toward the outcomes that matter most.
  • Help make every campaign generate better data and every new signal improve the performance of the broader CARA system.

How do I know if the role is right for me?

  • You have 10+ years of experience, including significant product-management experience in ad tech, machine learning, marketplaces, optimization systems, or another technically complex domain.
  • You have owned products end to end, from strategy and problem definition through roadmap, execution, launch, and measurable business impact.
  • You have a track record of turning complex ML, data, or platform capabilities into customer and business outcomes.
  • You can reason deeply about performance systems, experimentation, metrics, and trade-offs in environments with noisy, incomplete, or probabilistic data.
  • You are comfortable partnering closely with Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, and infrastructure teams on highly technical products.
  • You can move between executive-level strategy and implementation-level detail, creating clarity without losing sight of the underlying system.
  • You have strong product judgment and prioritization skills, with the ability to identify the few investments most likely to create durable performance gains.
  • You have led cross-functional initiatives that required alignment across multiple teams, competing priorities, and a globally distributed organization.
  • You communicate clearly and can build conviction with senior leaders, technical partners, and customer-facing teams.
  • You are energized by ambiguous problem spaces and are comfortable learning quickly, forming hypotheses, and refining strategy through evidence.
  • You care about customer outcomes and can connect platform and model investments to the workflows, goals, and economics of advertisers.

Nice to have

  • Experience with mobile advertising, in-app purchase or app-growth economics, gaming, DSPs, ad exchanges, or real-time bidding.
  • Experience building bidding, recommendation, campaign-automation, identity, signal, measurement, or optimization products.
  • Experience with predicted lifetime value, event-based optimization, SKAN, value-based bidding, or mobile measurement ecosystems.
  • Experience leading products that span both platform capabilities and advertiser-facing workflows.
  • Experience with SDK-based products, publisher integrations, or signal collection and quality systems.
  • An MBA, degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical or analytical field.

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
