Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented risk professional to join our Moment Risk & Compliance team. In this role, you will combine Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) with hands-on compliance responsibilities. You will be critical in helping Moment build a unified view of group-wide risk, run entity-level assessments, and embed a proactive risk culture as we scale.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or a related discipline).
  • 2–5 years of hands-on risk management, compliance, audit, or control experience, ideally within a bank, payment service provider, fintech, or other regulated financial institution.
  • Relevant risk management certification (e.g. CAMS, CRCM, ICA, FRM, or equivalent GRC qualification). Candidates actively studying towards one of these will also be considered.
  • Prior experience in banking, payments, fintech or Big Four consulting
  • Working knowledge of ERM frameworks (e.g. COSO ERM, ISO 31000) and how to apply them practically in a fast-moving business, rather than as a purely theoretical exercise.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with risk data, building registers, and producing clear reporting in Excel/PowerPoint or equivalent tools.
  • Sound judgement and discretion in handling sensitive risk, compliance, and customer-related information.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain the ERM Framework and tooling: Support the execution and maintenance of the Moment’s ERM framework, policies, risk taxonomy, and risk register across all business units, utilizing existing tools to automate risk tracking and control monitoring.
  • Execute Risk Assessments: Conduct periodic risk identification cycles with internal risk owners, evaluating likelihood, impact, control effectiveness, and residual risk ratings.
  • Track Risk Metrics: Monitor risk appetite thresholds against actual exposures, escalating breaches and emerging risks to Compliance leadership.
  • Consolidate Risk Reporting: Gather risk data to produce decision-ready risk dashboards and reporting papers for Moment’s leadership.
  • Support Business Initiatives: Coordinate risk reviews for new products, market expansions, and partnerships prior to launch alongside internal stakeholders.
  • Transaction Monitoring Oversight: Review and dispose of daily transaction monitoring alerts and escalate suspicious activity internally .
  • Support Compliance Operations: Perform hands-on operational tasks—including merchant/partner onboarding reviews, and other tasks assigned by the Compliance leadership.
  • Conduct Compliance Risk Reviews: Contribute to targeted AML/CFT, sanctions, and consumer protection risk assessments, translating findings into actionable remediation trackers.
  • Challenge & Track Controls: Engage and challenge control owners on identified risk gaps; actively chasing the remediation of internal audit and regulatory findings to closure.
  • Maintain Audit Records: Document all risk decisions, monitoring escalations, and operational compliance tasks to a clear, regulator-ready standard.
