Job Description:

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, for Systems (Technical Marketing) & Apps to lead market-facing strategy and customer engagement for next-generation DC-DC power modules within a global semiconductor organization.

Operating at the intersection of deep power electronics expertise and business leadership, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a large-scale environment but brings a startup mindset—bias for action, ownership, and agility. You will play a critical role in shaping product direction, winning key customers, and accelerating growth in high-impact markets such as data center, AI infrastructure, and industrial systems.

This position requires a hands-on technical leader who can move seamlessly from lab bench to executive discussion—driving innovation while navigating the scale and complexity of a top-tier semiconductor company.

Essential Functions

  • Define and execute technical marketing strategy for DC-DC power module portfolios, aligned with corporate growth objectives
  • Act as the voice of the customer, translating system-level requirements into clear product definitions and actionable roadmaps
  • Lead and work closely with R&D teams to influence architecture, feature prioritization, and performance targets (efficiency, density, thermals, cost)
  • Lead development of new product roadmaps by influencing cross-functional teams across engineering, product management, QA, and operations
  • Champion fast decision-making and execution, cutting through organizational complexity to accelerate outcomes
  • Drive design-in and design-win activities with key customers by providing deep technical engagement and system-level guidance
  • Deliver hands-on application support, including converter design guidance, simulation, lab validation, and debugging
  • Mentor junior engineers and help cultivate a high-performance, entrepreneurial team culture 2
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry conferences, and technical forums

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in power electronics, with strong hands-on expertise in:Switching converter design (buck, boost, multiphase, resonant/LLC, etc.) DC-DC power modules, POL converters, or power management ICs Control loop design, magnetics, and system-level power architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and debug hardware in the lab
  • Strong understanding of end systems (data center/AI, networking, industrial, or automotive power architectures)
  • Proven track record of customer engagement and influencing technical decisions
  • Solid business acumen, including understanding of market dynamics, product positioning, and cost/performance trade-offs
  • Experience leading projects or initiatives with cross-functional impact
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage audiences from engineers to executives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in applications engineering within a semiconductor company or power converter, power module design in system/power Company
  • Familiarity with high-density power module integration, advanced packaging, and thermal design
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., PMBus, VR specifications, OCP, automotive AEC-Q standards)
  • Experience supporting hyperscale or Tier-1 customers
  • Track record of operating effectively in large organizations while driving startup-like execution speed

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The target annual base range for this position in California is $220,000 - $270,000.
