The next space race is a race for power.

As the space economy expands into orbital computing, in-space manufacturing, lunar infrastructure, and deep-space exploration, the demand for reliable, high-density power is rapidly outgrowing what conventional solar systems can deliver. Nuclear power offers a path to unlocking an entirely new generation of space infrastructure, but achieving this requires fundamental innovation in how reactors, power conversion, and thermal management are designed and integrated.

Montauk Capital is incubating a new company focused on developing next-generation nuclear power systems for space. The opportunity lies in rethinking the entire power system, combining advances in nuclear engineering, aerospace technology, and AI-enabled design to deliver compact, efficient, scalable power for the emerging space economy.

The company will be built to address a critical infrastructure bottleneck with the potential to enable new markets across commercial space, national security, and exploration.

ABOUT THE EARLY TEAM OPPORTUNITIES

We are seeking exceptional talent to build and lead the initial efforts and scale the team. Working alongside Montauk Capital and a network of technical and industry experts, you will shape the company's strategy, validate the technical and commercial opportunity, recruit the founding team, and lead the business through its earliest stages of development and financing.

We're looking for individuals who can operate across technology, product, commercial strategy, and capital formation.

We are open to leaders from nuclear, aerospace, defense, energy, and other advanced technology sectors who have the conviction and capability to build a category-defining business.
