Support the Education and Professional Development (EPD) department and all of its roles, including department leadership, supervisors, Nursing Professional Development Practitioners, Consultants, Specialists, and instructors, in delivering education and professional development for caregivers, leaders, and physicians across the health system. Provide entry-level instruction in foundational courses as a step toward the EPD Specialist role. Use judgment to balance competing priorities, negotiate conflicts, anticipate needs, and adapt as plans change. Support EPD practice across onboarding and orientation, competency management, education, role development, collaborative partnerships, and inquiry, in line with Monument Health's mission, vision, values, and priorities. Serve as the entry point to the EPD career pathway (Program Coordinator, Specialist, Consultant).

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates orientation and onboarding programs across all markets for caregivers in a variety of roles. Works with leaders, instructors, and caregivers to align schedules, spaces, and content needs, and adapts plans as hiring volume and program needs shift.
  • Partners with EPD roles and external partners for multiple large events a year hosted and/or supported by education and professional development. These events include but are not limited to: competency forums, symposiums, leadership summits.
  • Manages the coordination of multiple concurrent education programs, including certification courses, regulatory education, and department-requested education. Each program has its own instructors, audiences, timelines, and requirements. Negotiates room, time, and instructor conflicts across programs and markets, using judgment to set priorities and find workable solutions.
  • Provides entry-level instruction under the guidance of EPD practitioners. Obtains and maintains instructor certification for foundational courses, such as basic life support and community or introductory education offerings, and teaches established curriculum as assigned. Builds facilitation skills in preparation for the EPD Specialist role.
  • Coordinates the moving parts of leadership development, transition-to-practice, and workforce pipeline programs, including cohort schedules, sessions, speakers, and events. Anticipates program needs and keeps EPD practitioners informed of risks to timelines or quality.
  • Builds and maintains working relationships with caregivers, leaders, departments, instructors, subject matter experts, and external partners, including academic and community partners. Serves as a trusted point of contact who brings people together, communicates program needs and changes, and keeps stakeholders aligned. Coordinates communication and marketing for educational and professional development programs.
  • Supports all EPD roles, including department leadership, supervisors, Nursing Professional Development Practitioners, Consultants, Specialists, and instructors, by bringing together the people, places, and resources each program needs. Exercises independent judgment in managing shifting priorities, resolving conflicts, and escalating concerns to the supervisor when needed.
  • Participates in a structured development plan supporting progression to the EPD Specialist role.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
