📍 London | 💰 Salary £60,000 - £65,000 + Incentive Awards - Benefits | Hear from the team ✨

⭐ Our People team

We call it Monzo Magic. Mission. Action. Growth. Inclusion. Care.

It's at the heart of everything we do. Within our People Collective, we're here to bring brilliant people together, build an inclusive culture and create an environment where everyone can do their best work. As Monzo continues to grow, our offices play an important role in bringing our people together. They're more than just places to work. They're spaces where teams connect, collaborate and experience what it means to be a Monzonaut.

We're looking for an experienced Property & Facilities Lead to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract, covering caregiver leave. You'll lead a team of six across four office locations in London, Cardiff, Dublin and Barcelona, helping us deliver an exceptional workplace experience while managing and developing our global property portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Property, Culture and Engagement, you'll oversee our daily operations, lead strategic projects and collaborate with teams across Monzo to create safe, welcoming and engaging workplaces that bring people together and put the Monzonaut community first.

🔑 You'll play a key role by...

  • 🏢 Leading our global property and facilities operations – Overseeing our office locations, ensuring they're safe and compliant, while delivering a consistent and delightful workplace experience.
  • 🚀 Managing and delivering property projects – Leading projects from planning to delivery, including office moves, refurbishments and new site launches. You'll manage timelines, budgets and internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • 🌍 Supporting our global property strategy – Turning our longer term property ambitions into practical plans, ensuring our spaces meet the needs of our people and support Monzo's continued growth.
  • 💪 Leading and developing a brilliant team – Managing six team members across all locations, setting clear priorities, supporting their development and building a scalable, high-performing function.
  • 🤝 Collaborating across Monzo – Building strong relationships with Finance, Legal, TechOps and senior leadership to align priorities, influence decisions and deliver improvements.
  • 💰 Managing budgets and suppliers – Overseeing property and facilities budgets, managing supplier relationships and ensuring we're delivering value for money across our portfolio.
  • 🦺 Keeping our spaces safe and sustainable – Ensuring our workplaces meet health and safety requirements, managing compliance and working with the ESG team to deliver our Scope 1 and 2 environmental commitments.
  • ✨ Continuously improving how we work – Using data and employee feedback to improve our spaces, streamline processes and build scalable ways of working. You'll also be happy to roll up your sleeves and provide hands on support when needed.

🤩 We'd love to hear from you if...

  • You have strong property and facilities management experience, ideally in a fast-paced, growing organisation with multiple office locations.
  • You're an experienced project manager, confident leading complex projects end to end, managing timelines, budgets, risks and competing priorities.
  • You're a confident people leader, with experience managing, coaching and developing high performing teams.
  • You're commercially minded, with experience managing budgets, suppliers and contracts while balancing cost, quality and employee experience.
  • You're a strong communicator and collaborator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders and building relationships across teams.
  • You're proactive, organised and adaptable, able to balance day-to-day operations with strategic priorities, navigate ambiguity and make decisions independently.
  • You're data-driven, and can use insights to make decisions and improve processes.
  • You have a good understanding of workplace health and safety, and are confident using digital tools such as Google Workspace and Slack
  • [Nice to have] You have a formal health and safety, facilities and/or project management qualification such as IWFM 7, NVQ, NEBOSH, PRINCE 2 or APM.

Not ticking every box? That's totally okay! We know that some people are less likely to apply for a role unless they meet every requirement. At Monzo, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive team, and we care just as much about your potential as your experience. If you're excited about this opportunity and think you could make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

🙌 What's in it for you

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
