Head of Accounting F/MReference: LU880120 Luxembourg EUR 100K - 110K per year Permanent Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Morgan Philips Executive Search is recruiting a Head of Accounting on behalf of an international group based in Southern Luxembourg. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee the accounting function, ensure compliance with Luxembourg accounting and tax requirements, and lead a team of approximately 6 professionals. Beyond technical expertise, our client is looking for a genuine leader capable of motivating, developing and bringing a team together, while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounting operations. Your Responsibilities • Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop the accounting team, fostering collaboration, engagement and a positive working environment.• Accounting & Closing: Oversee general accounting, AP/AR, intercompany transactions, reconciliations and monthly, quarterly and annual closings under Lux GAAP.• Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate statutory financial statements and coordinate external audits.• Tax & Compliance: Supervise Luxembourg VAT, corporate tax, INTRASTAT and other statutory obligations, working closely with external advisors.• Treasury: Oversee payment processes, bank reconciliations and cash management in collaboration with the Treasury team.• Process Improvement: Drive accounting process optimisation, automation and ERP enhancements.• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CFO and other departments to ensure reliable financial reporting and efficient operations. Your Profile • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, including proven experience managing and developing a team.• Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP, Luxembourg taxation and financial reporting.• Experience within an international or multi-entity environment.• Strong ERP and Excel skills.• Fluent German and English are mandatory. French is an advantage.• Hands-on, structured and proactive, with excellent communication skills.Most importantly, we are looking for a charismatic and approachable leader who knows how to unite a team, build trust and create a motivating working environment.
