RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and evaluate their applicability to Mortenson projects.

Technical & Engineering Contributions

MES Innovation Advancement

  • Responsible for getting innovations across the finish line.
  • Ensure all innovation efforts align with Mortenson legal and ethical guardrails.
  • Translate external industry ideas into Mortenson‑ready solutions, accounting for risk, scalability, and operational fit.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Influence adoption of new ideas through data, testing, and practical demonstration rather than authority.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of engineering principles, business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Working knowledge of the engineering, construction, or industrial project delivery industry.
  • Experience evaluating or implementing new technologies, tools, processes, or workflows.
  • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technical domains and synthesize information from multiple disciplines.
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel experience to track and analyze different components and combinations
  • Familiarity with Mortenson, its engineering practices, standards, and culture (preferred)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
