Assistant Accountant

Our client is a globally renowned fashion brand with over 450 salons across 38 countries. With more than 7,000 highly trained stylists and technicians, the brand has made a significant impact in the world of fashion, bridging the gap between high fashion and high street. A leader in hairdressing education, the brand operates 18 academies worldwide, teaching its unique approach to hairdressing.

The Sri Lanka branch of this prestigious multinational brand, based in the heart of Colombo, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Manage inventory, including store maintenance, stock-taking, and ensuring on-time product availability.
  • Handle accounts payable and invoice reconciliation.
  • Maintain supplier details and ensure timely product availability.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry and office supply management.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and flexibility to work on weekends when required.
  • Assist with any other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or relevant field.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and a good team player.
