POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
The Senior Solution Architect – Oracle PPM, SCM & CX is a member of the Solution Engineering and Strategy team within Moss’s Energy division. This role is the design authority for Moss’s Oracle Fusion Cloud operational footprint—Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Customer Experience (CX)—and is accountable for the end-to-end process and solution design that connects pursuit, preconstruction, procurement, project execution, and closeout.
The Senior Solution Architect will define the end-state architecture, build and own the solution roadmap based on business priorities, and lead process and solution design, configuration, and implementation through go-live and continuous improvement. Partnering closely with Preconstruction, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance leaders—and with the Finance and Integration architecture teams—this leader translates integrated business processes into scalable, high-performing Oracle Cloud solutions. This is a senior role requiring 10+ years of business process optimization, process transformation, and Oracle solution design experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Solution Architecture and Design Authority
- Own the end-to-end solution map and target-state architecture for Oracle Fusion PPM, SCM, and CX, and maintain a multi-year roadmap aligned to business priorities.
- Serve as the primary design authority: lead design reviews, document key design decisions, and govern configuration standards to stay close to Oracle best practices and minimize customization.
- Lead process transformation by facilitating current- and future-state design workshops across lead-to-contract, estimate-to-budget, procure-to-pay, plan-to-deliver, and project-to-close, and translate outcomes into Oracle solution designs.
- Assess Oracle quarterly releases and new capabilities, including embedded AI features, and recommend what to adopt and when.
Oracle Fusion PPM (Project Portfolio Management)
- Lead solution design and roadmap for Project Financial Management (PFM)—project costing, budgeting and forecasting, contracts, billing, and project control—and Project Execution Management (PEM)—project, resource, and progress management.
- Design project structures, WBS and cost codes, budget and forecast methods, and change management that reflect how Moss estimates, contracts, and delivers work across construction management, design-build, and EPC.
- Define integrations between PPM and Finance (GL, AP, AR), CX, estimating, SCM, and Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) to enable integrated cost and schedule management.
Oracle Fusion SCM (Supply Chain Management)
- Lead solution design, roadmap, and vision for SCM, including Procurement, Project-Driven Supply Chain, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), supply and material planning, inventory, and asset management.
- Design project-driven material planning and procurement for long-lead equipment (e.g., modules, trackers, inverters, transformers, and battery systems), with commitments, deliveries, and costs tracked against the project.
- Partner on project resource planning so labor, equipment, and material demand roll up to the project plan and forecast.
Oracle Fusion CX (Customer Experience)
- Design the pursuit-to-contract process in Oracle CX Sales, including opportunity and pipeline management, go/no-go decisions, and handoff of awarded work into PPM project setup.
- Align customer, account, and contract data across CX, PPM, and Finance to provide a single view of clients, pipeline, and backlog.
Integration, Data, and Reporting
- Define integration requirements and patterns with the Integration team (Oracle Integration Cloud or comparable middleware) for estimating, scheduling, field, and third-party systems.
- Own master data design for the PPM, SCM, and CX domains—projects, resources, items, suppliers, and customers—in partnership with data governance.
- Define reporting and analytics requirements (OTBI, BI Publisher, Fusion Data Intelligence) for project, supply chain, and pipeline performance.
Delivery and Implementation
- Lead end-to-end implementation of new or changed processes, including planning, configuration, pilot design, site readiness, data conversion, cutover playbooks, go-live, and hypercare.
- Lead testing strategy and provide hands-on support for unit, system integration, and user acceptance testing, including scenario design and defect triage.
- Develop and maintain solution documentation, including design documents, configuration workbooks, process flows, and training materials.
- Direct systems integrators and consulting partners and hold them accountable for design quality and delivery.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Work closely with business Product and Process Owners to align on process, solution, and data decisions.
- Present architecture options, trade-offs, and recommendations to executives and business stakeholders in clear business terms.
- Mentor functional analysts and consultants and contribute to Solution Engineering standards and methods.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 10+ years of business process optimization, process transformation, and Oracle solution design experience, including at least 6 years of hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation and configuration.
- Lead solution or functional architect on multiple full-lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations.
- Deep functional expertise in Oracle Fusion PPM (PFM and PEM) and working knowledge of Oracle Fusion SCM (Procurement, planning, and inventory).
- Strong knowledge of project controls—cost management, budgeting and forecasting, change management, scheduling, and reporting—in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience configuring approval workflows, reports, and dashboards, and designing integrations.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Engineering and construction, EPC, or renewable energy industry experience.
- Oracle Fusion CX Sales implementation experience.
- Project-Driven Supply Chain, S&OP, or supply planning implementation experience.
- Integrated planning and scheduling experience, particularly Oracle Primavera Cloud or P6 integrated with PPM.
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, FBDI, and REST APIs, and Fusion Data Intelligence.
- Oracle Cloud certification in PPM, SCM, or CX.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THE FIRST YEAR
- An approved target-state architecture and prioritized roadmap for PPM, SCM, and CX.
- Design authority and governance in place, with key design decisions documented and adopted.
- At least one major release or pilot delivered on time, with measurable process improvement for project and supply chain teams.
