The posting

Job Summary: We are looking for dedicated Accounting Officers to join various teams across different locations around the island of Mauritius. The role involves managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process invoices for payment. Ensure all invoices are accurately recorded and matched with purchase orders.
  • Payments Management: Process payments to suppliers and vendors. Verify payment details and ensure timely disbursement.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records. Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable. Ensure records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist in the preparation and completion of month-end and year-end financial reports. Support the closing process with accurate data entry and reconciliation.
  • Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software and systems. Verify accuracy and completeness of data entries.
  • Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards.

Requirements:

  • Educational Qualifications: BSc in Accounting or ACCA certification.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or clerical role is preferred.
  • Skills:Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word). Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills.
