The posting

Position Overview:

We are currently searching for a skilled Accounts Payable Officer for a Finance team in Mauritius to join an exceptional team at our subsidiary in Switzerland. Proficiency in both French and English is required for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing:Handle invoice reception, scanning, recording in accounting systems, and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Invoice Review and Correspondence:Review invoices and communicate with suppliers to update invoice details (company names, VAT numbers, addresses, VAT rates).
  • Payment Proposals Preparation:Prepare accurate payment proposals for timely processing.
  • Vendor Balance Reconciliation:Reconcile supplier balances with the general ledger.
  • Vendor List Review and Updates:Review and maintain vendor lists, ensuring accurate information.
  • Accruals and Provisions Preparation:Prepare interim accruals and provisions as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role.
  • Excel and IT Skills: Proficient in Excel and other standard computer applications (MS Office).
  • Language Skills: Fluent in French with good proficiency in English (knowledge of German is advantageous).
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, efficient, and adaptable with strong teamwork and organizational skills.

Working hours: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday, including Mauritian public holidays. Day off on Swiss public holidays.
