THE ROLE

As Account Director, you’ll lead the charge for one of our largest portfolios, driving relationship and revenue growth across a diverse ecosystem of household brands.. Internally, you’ll lead our cross-functional team to deliver innovative work. You’ll juggle competing priorities, from pricing to resourcing, as you grow your revenue and profitability. Externally, you’ll lead our clients to success they dreamed of. You’ll intuit their needs and inspire them with what’s possible.

We’re looking for a savvy business leader: someone who understands an agency P&L and how we grow, and equally understands a client CMO’s business struggles and how they grow. We need a socially-native thinker, who understands how to use social media to drive key client outcomes.

Location Requirements: This person must be based in the New York City area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You have proven experience leading a $5-10M+ book of business, with deep knowledge and expertise in multi-social channel marketing and innovation
  • You lead relationships with clients from coordinator to CMO, building deep thought partnerships based on trust and care. You act as client “therapist” to elicit and articulate their unexpressed needs and big dreams
  • You’re thirsty to grow business, with existing and new clients! You understand how to identify and unlock opportunities for profitable growth in revenue & relationships.
  • You inspire cross-functional teams with strong and thoughtful leadership, creating an ownership and accountability culture
  • You proactively travel to meet with clients IRL
  • You know how to make sound business decisions and manage competing priorities.
  • You’re good with the details, and know how to develop and maintain annual, quarterly and monthly revenue forecasts and projections
  • You know CRM systems (we use Salesforce - prior knowledge not a requirement), and know how to track and manage pipeline, revenue, contracts, invoicing, profitability and customer satisfaction to meet or exceed established goals
  • You can participate as needed for new business intake and outbound efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years experience in an account services/marketing role with at least 6 years in a management role, ideally with deep CPG experience
  • Deep social media expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategies, plans and programs in social media and brand marketing
  • Experience and examples in building, managing and motivating a high performing team
  • Measurable client growth and retention track record
  • Highly developed skill in communication, polish and presence
  • Skilled partner to top-level client executives.
  • Facility setting and holding boundaries and leading difficult conversations
  • Very high levels of flexibility and creativity for solving problems
  • Proven new business or revenue generation experience (both outbound and inbound)
  • Intense desire to excel in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Kind, loving and JOYFUL

SALARY RANGE

Our estimated range for this role is $130-150k

Similarly, there might also be a more senior or junior position available, that would be a better fit with your expertise. For example, a person may apply for a Senior Creative Producer role, and we may assess that their skills are at the Creative Producer level. Each level has its own compensation range.
