Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead children in all daily activities, including structured and creative play.
  • Assist children in learning to work together through various interactive games and activities designed to encourage cooperation. Assist in successfully resolving conflicts as they arise.
  • Help prepare children for lunch and snack times and assist others on staff in handing out food and beverage items. Lead the children in cleaning trays, cups, and the eating area after every meal.
  • Keeping records of each child’s progress, interests, and any problems that may occur.
  • Participate in one-on-one sessions with parents to support development milestones and create strong relationships with children and their families.
  • Educate yourself on all state compliance regulations related to childcare and our own internal policies and procedures, and enforce them (when necessary) in a professional yet caring manner.
  • Support the parents and children you work with to understand Moxi policies and procedures in regards to safety and cooperation to help foster a safe environment and bolster client confidence.

Skills & Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to lift 30–40 lbs.
  • 3+ years of childcare experience at a preschool
  • 3+ references (1 professional and 2 personal non-family references)
  • CPR and First Aid certified (Moxi can provide)
  • Team player
  • Great communicator
  • Passion for educating and caring for young children
