  • Work strategically with colleagues across the Development function and, where appropriate, leaders of academic and professional units, to secure significant philanthropic commitments to the University with a focus on gifts of $100k+.
  • Analyse and report on prospects and donor trends, making recommendations for continuous improvement of program strategy and processes.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance on major donors fundraising, solicitation and engagement techniques to develop long-term relationships with major donors.
  • Build and manage collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders across the University to understand their strengths and identify areas to leverage their involvement with fundraising opportunities.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Philanthropy and Alumni Relations to support the identification of emerging opportunities, technologies, and audiences to expand programs and build donor pipelines.

About You (Selection Criteria)

  • Knowledge of advancement functions, including major gifts.
  • Experience of managing a portfolio including making asks of more than $100,000.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of and competence in Microsoft Office and database software.
  • Significant experience managing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and donors.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision making, including with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing projects.
  • Sound commercial acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience writing briefing documentation for senior management.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
