Job Description

MUFG Corporate Markets | Brisbane or Melbourne

About the opportunity

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences and bringing complex meetings and events together seamlessly?

MUFG Corporate Markets is seeking a proactive and organised Meetings & Events Specialist to join our team in Brisbane or Melbourne. In this client-facing role, you’ll manage a portfolio of clients and coordinate their meetings and events from initial planning through to live delivery and post-event completion.

You’ll build trusted client relationships, take ownership of event delivery and work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure every detail is managed to a high standard. Events may include Annual General Meetings (AGMs), half-year and full-year results meetings, webcasts and other important corporate events.

This is an opportunity to combine your event coordination and project management skills with relationship building in a professional, fast-paced environment where attention to detail, collaboration and accountability matter.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage client relationships: Act as a key contact for your portfolio, building strong relationships, understanding client needs and providing proactive, timely communication.
  • Coordinate end-to-end event delivery: Manage planning, scheduling, supplier engagement, event readiness, live-event support and post-event activities.
  • Bring teams together: Coordinate internal stakeholders across production, webcasting, registry, technology and administration, as well as external suppliers, to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Manage competing priorities: Keep event plans, milestones, responsibilities and communications on track while adapting to changing requirements and tight deadlines.
  • Support commercial outcomes: Coordinate proposals, monitor supplier costs and ensure billing, invoicing and reporting activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain quality and manage risk: Follow established processes and controls, identify potential issues early and coordinate effective resolutions when challenges arise.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, service delivery and the overall client experience, while supporting broader team objectives.

What you’ll bring

You’re a confident communicator and natural relationship builder who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and ensuring things run smoothly behind the scenes. You’re organised, commercially aware and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience in event management, meetings coordination, client services, account management or a similar client-facing role.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
  • A high level of attention to detail, sound judgement and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Confidence working with budgets, supplier costs, invoicing or other commercial information.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Experience in financial services, listed-company meetings, registry services, webcasting, audiovisual production or investor relations will be highly regarded. A relevant qualification in events, business, communications or a related discipline is desirable, although equivalent practical experience is equally valued.

Why join MUFG Corporate Markets?

At MUFG Corporate Markets, you’ll be part of a team delivering important corporate meetings and events for clients. You’ll have the opportunity to build valuable client relationships, work across different teams and develop your expertise in a specialised area of corporate services.

We value collaboration, accountability and a commitment to quality. If you enjoy working with people, taking ownership and delivering outcomes you can be proud of, this could be the opportunity you’re looking for.

Ready to take the next step?

If you’re an organised, client-focused professional who enjoys coordinating complex activities and delivering outstanding service, we’d love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
